Bill Gates, Bruce Springsteen, Philip Seymour Hoffman and Michael Moore are among the guests who will engage in onstage discussions at the Toronto International Film Festival, the festival announced on Tuesday.

Tiff also announced more than 100 additions to its film lineup, including new films from directors Tom Tykwer, Hong Sangsoo, Vincent Gallo, Gregg Araki, Gareth Edwards, Catherine Breillat, Ken Loach and Jerzy Skolimowski. »

Gareth Edwards’ ‘Monsters’ releases official poster

Six years ago Nasa discovered the possibility of alien life within our solar system. A probe was launched to collect samples, but crashed upon re-entry over Central America. Soon after, new life forms began to appear and grow. In an effort to stem the destruction that resulted, half of Mexico was quarantined as an Infected Zone. Today, the American and Mexican military still struggle to contain the massive creatures… Our story begins when a jaded Us journalist (McNairy) begrudgingly agrees to find his boss’ daughter, a shaken American tourist (Able) and escort her through the infected zone to the safety of the Us border.

First Image from Skyline

Comingsoon have unveiled the first official image from the upcoming independent sci-fi / alien film, Skyline. The film, directed by brothers Greg and Colin Strause, stars Donald Faison, Eric Balfour, Scottie Thompson and Brittany Daniel.

Synopsis: After a late night party, a group of friends are awoken in the dead of the night by an eerie light beaming through the window. Like moths to a flame, the light source is drawing people outside before they suddenly vanish into the air. They soon discover an otherworldly force is swallowing the entire human population off the face of the earth. Now our band of survivors must fight for their lives as the world unravels around them.

A panel for Skyline attended Comic-Con were they presented a trailer for the film. We’ll bring you that once it’s available online. Meanwhile, while you wait in anticipation, check out the official image below:
