Television phenomenon, “Downton Abbey” is to get its own travelling exhibition.
The immersive experience will debut in Singapore’s Marina Bay Sands from June 17, before travelling to the U.S. next year. It is expected to include characters, costumes and locations, previously unseen footage and historic moments.
“’Downton Abbey: The Exhibition’ allows this incredible legacy to live on by offering a multi-million dollar museum quality experience that will delight fans, ultimately extending the connection they have with Downton’s compelling characters and storylines. We are excited to expand the brand in a manner that few TV series could ever dream of doing,” said Michael Edelstein, president of NBCUniversal International Studios.
“Downton Abbey: The Exhibition” is presented by NBCUniversal International Studios and Imagine Exhibitions. The exhibition follows the success of “Dressing Downton,” a costume exhibition which toured the Us last year.

“Downtown Abbey: The Exhibition” is an immersive experience that allows visitors to journey through the world of Carnival Films’ multi-award-winning show, exploring the high society Crawleys as well as those that served them. The exhibition will also feature other aspects of the post-Edwardian period in which the TV series is set.

Chinese streaming giant Youku is to produce a localized version of “Saturday Night Live,” following an agreement with NBCUniversal. The show is expected to be one of the flagship programs for Youku’s fall-winter entertainment lineup.
The Youku show will be the 10th local iteration of the iconic “SNL,” after international versions in places such as France, the Middle East and Finland. On NBC in the U.S., the show has played for more than 40 years, with more than 800 episodes aired to date, and has re-entered the national conversation with Alec Baldwin’s lacerating impersonation of President Trump.
“Lorne Michaels has created a timeless format that taps into the prevailing cultural zeitgeist and instantaneously responds with whip-smart humor to national affairs and social trends,” said Michael Edelstein, President, NBCUniversal International Studios.

Digital heavyweights to speak at two-day event
Executives from Amazon, Facebook and Vevo will give their take on the future direction of the media industry at next month’s Media Summit.
Amazon Prime managing director Alex Green will offer an insight into the online giant’s strategy in the TV and video space following original commissions including The Grand Tour and The Man In The High Castle.
Elsewhere Vevo’s head of Europe Jon Gisby, a former board member of Channel 4 who helped launch its initial on-demand service 4oD, will also speak.
Gisby will offer insight into the way the music and entertainment platform uses data, premieres, archive and original content to over 21bn video views each month, including one-third of young adults in the UK.
