Welcome back, gladiators, to ‘Scandal’! It’s been a few months but we’re delighted that the exploits of Olivia, Quinn, Abby, Huck and Harrison as Washington DC becomes the biggest and most dangerous political playground on the planet. Betrayal, murder, assassinations, secrets, affairs, paternity issues and everything under the sun – God how we’ve missed ‘Scandal’, so let’s return with this Sally-centered episode.
We jump right back into the heart of the action as Mellie races to inform Cyrus of Sally announcing her plans to run as President in the next election, the media having a field day. James, Cyrus and Mellie are planning on how to deal with the Sally situation, looking at polls, potential leaking information, and soon interrupts Fitz and Olivia in a hot-and-heavy makeout – she’s his new campaign manager and Mellie is just thrilled by this latest development.
Olivia is running the campaign for Fitz, »

Update 1:15 Pm: Following the success last night of Escandalo, a Spanish-language “version” of hit ABC drama Scandal on Jimmy Kimmel Live, I’ve learned that the spoof is being turned into a series, with three more episodes slated to air on Jkl through the rest of the season. Like the first video, they will feature Scandal cast members. That will include Guillermo Diaz, who wasn’t in the first skit and has Latin American roots via his Cuban parents. Previous 7 Am: On the night of Scandal‘s midseason premiere, star Kerry Washington was on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night where she introduced Escandalo, a Spanish-language version of the hot ABC drama. Here is the video, which features Washington and a number of her fellow Scandal cast members (but surprisingly, no Guillermo Diaz), as well as Jkl‘s own Guillermo and Kimmel. »

Mellie, Liv and Fitz fight while dealing with Sally Langston’s decision to stay on as VP and James plots to take Cyrus down in Scandal’s “Ride, Sally, Ride.”
We come back to the Scandal White House with Liv (Kerry Washington), Mellie (Bellamy Young) and Cyrus (Jeff Perry) in crisis mode: Vice President Sally Langston (Kate Burton) has just announced that she will be running against President Grant (Tony Goldwyn) as an independent in the coming election. Just when Fitz’s new campaign manager, Liv, comes up with a strategy to paint Langston as a selfish and reckless woman, Langston drops another bomb in her public address – she will not be resigning her position as VP.
Fitz Needs A New Vice President
Fitz is livid, as are Mellie and Cyrus. Politically, Fitz can’t go to Congress to request Sally’s dismissal, he simply doesn’t have the political capital to pull it off, »
Sorry, Scandal fans: Quinn (Katie Lowes) is no longer a Gladiator. Huck (Guillermo Diaz) made that abundantly clear in the midseason finale after discovering that the youngest Opa member had betrayed Olivia (Kerry Washington). But will Opa's fearless leader agree with Huck's decision? TVGuide.com caught up with Diaz to find out what's in store for ABC's political fixer drama, which returns Thursday at 10/9c on ABC:

What does the future hold for Scandal's now former Gladiator, Quinn Perkins (Katie Lowes)? After Huck (Guillermo Diaz) forcibly removed the newest addition to Olivia Pope & Associates from the Scooby gang, Quinn will look to take her new skill set to another employer -- quite possibly the now Jake-led B613 as she stands by Charlie's side. The Hollywood Reporter caught up with Lowes to preview what to expect from the final eight episodes of season three. Plus, is that romance with Charlie the real deal or might she be manipulating the master manipulator? Photos: On-Set With the Gladiators:

"We have an episode coming up that becomes a 'Scandal' parody," co-creator and executive producer Emily Halpern says, speaking to reporters on Monday (Feb. 10). "Diane [Marcia Gay Harden] has a bit of a failure, which as we know is very unlike her, and she winds up sort of binge-watching a lot of 'Scandal' episodes and channels her Olivia Pope [Kerry Washington]."
With Diane trying on Olivia's white hat, let's have some fun and match up the rest of "Trophy Wife" with their Gladiator counterparts. (Of course, we're leaving the kids out of this because that would just be weird. Though, let's be real, »
From Gladiators to Smilers?
Two of Olivia Pope's most dedicated soldiers may have a new allegiance after eagle-eyed fans spotted Guillermo Diaz (Huck) and Darby Stanchfield (Abby) rocking out front row on Wednesday's (Jan. 29) "Miley Cyrus Unplugged" special on MTV.
Before the Tuesday taping, Stanchfield shared a photo of herself and Diaz holding two red paper tickets with the caption, "Where are these #gladiators going?!" Diaz retweeted the photo, adding his own celebratory exclamation: "F*** yea! Miley&Madonna."
And sure enough, there the two were clapping along as Cyrus introduced her stripped rendition of "Get It Right." And if you look closely enough in the lower righthand corner of Cyrus' performance with Madonna, mashing up her hit "We Can't Stop" with Madge's "Don't Tell Me," you can see a very excited Diaz dancing along.
In the end, though, Smiler (the pet term for Cyrus' fans) may not be the appropriate title for Diaz. »
On Thursday (Jan. 29), Diaz's co-star George Newbern (who plays equally dangerous torture expert Charlie) tweeted a photo of son Ben at the dentist's office with the caption, "X-rays anyone?"
Ben already looked as if he'd rather be anywhere else in the photo. And then Diaz stepped in, replying to the tweet, "Does he need any teeth pulled?" Be afraid, Ben. Be very afraid.
Katie Lowes, whose Quinn knows a thing or two about Huck's devious dentistry, joined in the fun, tweeting, "Don't remind me."
For what it's worth, it seems Ben's teeth were treated to before Diaz offered up his services. "Lol they pulled one," Newbern informed his co-worker. Hopefully with more Novocain than Huck might offer. »
The backing band may have been unplugged, but Miley Cyrus remained a live wire throughout her MTV Unplugged session in Hollywood on Jan. 28. Clad in a denim bikini under an oversized, spangled and shredded Canadian tuxedo, the 21-year-old pop star thrashed and line-danced -- and, yes, twerked -- all over the hay bale- and wagon wheel-strewn stage, keeping the Sunset Gower Studios audience (among them: Guillermo Diaz and Darby Stanchfield of ABC’s Scandal, which also tapes at the lot) entertained during breaks for technical adjustments. During a pause in taping, while props got rearranged and lighting and sound were checked, a bikini-topped Miley Cyrus amused the soundstage audience by sharing an epiphany. "You can look at life one way or the other," the 21-year-old music star said, "half-naked or half-clothed." Her young fans appreciably and knowingly laughed. The quiet, mostly off-camera moments Tuesday night at Sunset Gower Studios in Hollywood seemed more unplugged than the show by the same name. That country-flavored performance (Miley Cyrus: MTV Unplugged, 9 p.m. Wednesday on MTV), featuring songs from her new album Bangerz, had the surreal, sort-of-scandalous, sharable-on-social moments we've come to expect, »

Howdy, divas! Miley Cyrus taped her MTV Unplugged concert special at Sunset Gower Studios in Los Angeles late Tuesday, Jan. 28 -- and, as previously promised, the 21-year-old was joined onstage by the Empress of Pop herself, Madonna! Us Weekly was in the audience -- along with Cyrus' parents Tish and Billy Ray Cyrus, older sister Brandi, and even Scandal stars Guillermo Diaz and Darby Stanchfield -- for the once-in-a-lifetime show. The concert was Western-themed throughout, with backup singers and bandmembers donning cowboy hats, denim, plaid [...] »
The wait is nearly over, "Scandal" fans. In just one quick month, on Feb. 27, the buzzy ABC series will return for the second half of Season 3.
When Kerry Washington and Co. left us in December, a lot was left in the air. We'd just learned that Olivia Pope's mom (Khandi Alexander) is really a terrorist and she's on the loose in D.C. Dad Rowan (Joe Morton) got the B613 boot, with Fitz (Tony Goldwyn) installing Jake (Scott Foley) as the new head.
Elsewhere, Opa is down a Gladiator after Quinn's (Katie Lowes) impromptu dental work at the hand of Huck (Guillermo Diaz). Spurned by her makeshift family, she ran back into the arms of creepy Charlie (George Newbern), the only person who will have her.
And that's not even mentioning the Vice President murdering her philandering husband, with Cyrus (Jeff Perry) attempting to cover it up. Needless to say, »
"Scandal" is a show that lives and dies by the jaw drop. You know what we mean, those moments that leave you barely able to catch your breath, panting, hungry for more. But not all Omg moments are made equal.

12. Cyrus is revealed to be behind Amanda Tanner's death
Oh, hey Season 1 twist. Look at you being cute and trying to shock with the reveal that President Grant's (Tony Goldwyn) chief of staff Cyrus Beene (Jeff Perry) was the man behind Amanda Tanner's (guest star Liza Weil) death. And, yeah, it was shocking -- for Season 1. But we've got people eating through their wrists now. »

Is Quinn really no longer a Gladiator on Scandal? —Jonas
Well, for now. But wait until Olivia finds out that Huck ousted her from the group! Prepare for one Huck of a fight! "He doesn't feel bad about what he did to Quinn," Guillermo Diaz says. "He only feels bad that Olivia is upset at him for doing what he did. [But] he's not apologizing for it and he's standing his ground."
Any How I Met Your Mother scoop? —Katia
The series finale is titled "Last Forever," which, like most Himym episodes, will fiddle with the timeline. "We're a very time-jumpy show, so you will see a lot of the future and where everyone is in the end," Himym boss Craig Thomas says. But when »
