Is the #TwizzlerChallenge About to Take Over? See Which Stars Have Done It So Far

3 April 2015 11:35 AM, PDT | Popsugar.com | See recent Popsugar news »

Hey, remember the Als Ice Bucket Challenge? It was the philanthropic craze that likely took over your Facebook feed for the better part of last Summer, and loads of celebrities were getting in on it. Well, a new year brings a new social media trend, and this time, it involves Twizzlers. The #TwizzlerChallenge started in March during Comedy Central's Night of Too Many Stars, which works with the organization New York Collaborates For Autism; during the event, Orange Is the New Black star Uzo Aduba and Today's Willie Geist shared a Lady and the Tramp-style kiss with a Twizzler, and other celebs soon followed suit. The rules are similar to the Ice Bucket Challenge in that you share a video of yourself via social media and nominate friends (or frenemies), who can then choose to either do the stunt or donate to NYC4A, which funds and creates schools, »

Scandal Recap: Olivia Saves a Man from Death Row, Jake Goes Insane

2 April 2015 8:30 PM, PDT | PEOPLE.com | See recent PEOPLE.com news »

#Tbt to that time Jake (Scott Foley) killed people ... a lot of people. That was the gist of Thursday night's episode of Scandal, a stark reminder that, as sweetly as the one-time command treats Olivia (Kerry Washington), he's still a trained assassin. Faced with David's (Joshua Malina) plan to prosecute B613, Jake went into what Huck (Guillermo Díaz) termed "survival mode" - or, as we at People call it, a murderous rage. Or did he? A last-minute twist revealed that it was really Papa Pope pulling all the strings. Olake shippers can breathe a sigh of relief, but it looks »

Roland Emmerich's 'Stonewall' is arriving just in time for awards season

25 March 2015 11:14 AM, PDT | Hitfix | See recent Hitfix news »

Roland Emmerich is entering the awards season fray once more.  The filmmaker behind such blockbusters as "The Day After Tomorrow" and "Independence Day" attempted to make a smaller, more serious film with 2011's "Anonymous."  That Shakespearean era tale was touted as a possible awards player before it debuted at the 2011 Toronto International Film Festival to mostly negative reviews.  Any hopes for prestige recognition were quickly dashed. Now, after segueing into more familiar territory with "White House Down," Emmerich is returning with a slightly more personal tale, "Stonewall." Roadside Attractions announced today it had acquired the period drama for a release later this Fall (which pretty much means at least a Toronto debut).  "Stonewall" is a fictional drama set around the real events that took place at the Stonewall Inn in New York City during 1969.  The Stonewall Riots found the gay community fighting back in a series of violent protests after »

"Scandal" Recap: We Need to Talk About that Shocking Lena Dunham Moment!

20 March 2015 10:00 AM, PDT | TooFab | See recent TooFab news »

Every week, we're breaking down the latest episode of "Scandal" with our own group of Gladiators. Check out the video above to see what our wine-swigging recappers thought of this week's hour ... and what they think it's going to happen in the weeks to come! Keep reading for our full recap ... Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) went head-to-head with an erotic tell-all author, Sue Thomas (Lena Dunham), who threatened to expose a few ridiculously kinky secrets of D.C.'s elite. The best part? Shonda Rhimes took the sex scandal to a whole new level by giving the dirty politicians nicknames like "Motor Head," "Butterfingers" and "Rough Rider." It didn't take long for Abby to figure out who "Dustbuster" and "The Doctor" were, fingering Leo (Paul Adelstein) and David (Joshua Malina), respectively. While Olivia tried to make the book disappear, Sue demanded a cool $3 million. Olivia initially wanted all the men »

Scandal Recap: Lena Dunham Goes Fifty Shades of Grey ... and Someone Gets Murdered

19 March 2015 8:25 PM, PDT | PEOPLE.com | See recent PEOPLE.com news »

Lena Dunham's Scandal debut started out as a Fifty Shades of Grey situation that Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) needed to fix. And just when it looked like her character might be getting a Sex and the City ending, Huck (Guillermo Díaz) gave her a fate more suited for Law and Order: Svu. Thursday's episode was all about feminist issues: the line between owning your sexuality and being abused, the scrutiny a successful woman is subjected to versus a man. It's Girls meets Gladiators!

Lena Dunham is guest-starring tonight's all-new episode of Scandal, and aside from her questionable wig, we're excited to see what the HBO star will bring to our favorite Tgit drama.

To get the inside scoop on Dunham's secretive debut on the Shonda Rhimes series, we caught up with the Golden Globe winner and the stars of Scandal and we found out who's the biggest Girls fan on set. (Spoiler Alert: It's hard to tell because the entire cast was wilding fangirling and fanboying over Dunham's appearance!)

"Shonda is a very skilled writer and wrote me a really fun party to play," Dunham dished to ETonline at the Girls PaleyFest red carpet. "Unfortunately, besides the images that you've already seen, B6-13 will take me out of I say anything."

Which Character Should Fans Be Most Worried About on Scandal After B613 Reveal?

19 March 2015 9:00 AM, PDT | E! Online | See recent E! Online news »

The fallout is going to have to wait a week. Though Jake (Scott Foley) and David (Josh Malina) were left shell-shocked when Huck finally came clean about B613 in last week's Scandal, a move that could destroy many of D.C.'s major power players, fans are going to have to wait a little bit longer to see Olivia (Kerry Washington) learn of Huck's, or should we say Diego Munoz's betrayal. "We're going to find out in…not the next episode, but the one after that what Olivia's reaction is and what's going on," the whistleblower himself Guillermo Diaz told E! News at the 2015 Hrc Los Angeles Gala Dinner for the Human Rights Campaign (Hrc). "It's not going to go very »

Shonda Rhimes Thinks Lena Dunham's Wig Looks 'Crazy,' Too

15 March 2015 3:02 PM, PDT | Vulture | See recent Vulture news »

Just because Lena Dunham is guest-starring on this week's Scandal, don't expect to see Hannah Horvath at Olivia Pope & Associates. Dunham plays a writer, sure, but one who threatens Washington's power elite with the publication of her book. But really, she doesn't resemble Hannah even a little bit? "Not at all, but it's good," self-proclaimed Girls fan Guillermo Diaz, who plays Huck, told Vulture at The Human Rights Campaign Los Angeles Gala Saturday night. "She plays a character you've never seen her do before, which is kind of exciting." And what about that other guest character — her wig? Shonda Rhimes agrees that the bang-heavy hairpiece is over the top. While she kept mum about the episode, Rhimes admitted: "I can talk about the wig. The wig is a crazy choice, but it's a choice, but it's there." But why, Shonda, did you make that crazy choice? That was »

Keep reading for our full recap ...  Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) got back to work last week, but last night, "Scandal" fanatics saw her grappling with Ptsd. The show started with Liv sitting on the floor of her apartment, using wine to numb the aftershocks of her kidnapping.  In between flashbacks of her gun-toting kidnappers, Liv was able to help Rose find out what happened to her "missing" neighbor Lois (who was actually shot while Olivia was taken.) Huck (Guillermo Díaz) and Quinn (Katie Lowes) were able to track down Lois' body with the serial number from her artificial hip. Instead of telling Rose the truth, »

Scandal Recap: Olivia Grapples with Ptsd, B613 Is Exposed

Scandal's Gladiators better hold on to their white hats. Thursday night's episode was mostly a set-up for the next swooping dramatic arc: The takedown of B613 (no, really this time), and possibly your favorite characters along with it. "You gave me those files," Attorney General David Rosen (Joshua Malina) said in the penultimate scene. "You said, 'Go get the bad guys.' " "Rosen, we are the bad guys," Jake (Scott Foley) replied. "Not anymore," David insisted. But is that really true? Because for all the good the employees of Pope & Associates do, their fixing hasn't exactly followed the letter of the law. »

5 Questions With … Guillermo Diaz of “Scandal”

11 March 2015 8:00 AM, PDT | ChannelGuideMag | See recent ChannelGuideMag news »

On Scandal, Guillermo Diaz is a badass — and not your run-of-the-mill badass, who might ride a Harley, have a tattoo and deck someone who deserves it. As Huck, he’s a former CIA agent, who has assassinated world leaders and is trained in torture. Let’s not forget that he did pull out Quinn’s teeth because she “could never mind her own business.” Huck has a scowl that projects: “Cross me, and you, too, could find yourself in need of an orthodontic surgeon.” Away from the ABC monster hit, at a network party in Pasadena, Díaz is relaxed and, dare we say it? … Continue reading →

The Scandal Cast Imagines Whom They Would Play on Girls

10 March 2015 9:05 AM, PDT | Vulture | See recent Vulture news »

We don’t know much about Lena Dunham’s heavily anticipated March 19 guest stint on Scandal, other than the fact that it requires a wig and an appointment at Olivia Pope & Associates. The Scandal cast, who gathered in Hollywood on Sunday for the show’s PaleyFest panel, were not much help, either. “I can say she's an assassin,” Guillermo Díaz (Huck) joked when Vulture asked what the New Yorker would be doing in D.C. “No, I can’t tell you anything, but I’m excited about Lena [coming on]. It was a big ol’ love-fest. She is a huge fan of Scandal, and we love her. She got used to speaking really fast like we do easily.” Will there be some Fifty Shades of Hannah Horvath action? Or perhaps she plays Mellie’s wild little sister, a potential obstacle to her political run? Realizing we weren’t going to get any closer to confirmation, »

Kerry Washington hit the red carpet for a Scandal event during PaleyFest in La on Sunday. The actress looked stunning in a black Mary Katrantzou dress with bright yellow pumps, which she offset with a sleek bun and dramatic dark lip. Kerry snapped playful pictures with her costar Katie Lowes before heading inside, where she sat on stage with Tony Goldwyn, Bellamy Young, Guillermo Diaz, Jeff Perry, Darby Stanchfield, Scott Foley, and Joshua Malina; the cast got cute while talking up the ABC drama at the event, which was hosted by Jimmy Kimmel. Kerry also shared some group shots of the fun on Instagram! The PaleyFest event comes just days after Scandal's powerful Ferguson-inspired episode, which aired last Thursday.
