Supporting actor in many Hollywood films from the 1910s. Worked as a gagman and occasional director for Hal Roach; he co-directed several Charley Chase comedies. He appeared in some Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy films at Roach and also alongside W.C. Fields and Charles Chaplin.
