Who's going to die on the Grey's Anatomy eighth season finale?
Six doctors — Meredith, Derek, Cristina, Mark, Lexie and Arizona — crash-landed somewhere in the woods on their way to Boise. Though we'd like to think that April (Sarah Drew), who failed her boards, would kill herself and save us the torment of a more shocking loss — the promos seem to indicate that it's one of the Stranded Six who won't make it out alive.

"Grey's Anatomy" fans are currently in a bit of a tailspin as they anxiously await the harrowing Season 8 finale, in which a beloved character is going to die. We're no strangers to death or on this show, of course -- after all, could anything be sadder than losing George O'Malley? -- but we're still not particularly psyched to say goodbye to a favorite.
Now, we know that original series regulars Patrick Dempsey, Ellen Pompeo, James Pickens Jr., Chandra Wilson, Sandra Oh, and Justin Chambers have all signed deals to return to the series for two more years after this season after some dicey negotiations left their fates in question. Fans can rest easy about those particular characters.
Of course, over the years, we've fallen in love with many more characters aside from just the originals. Mark (Eric Dane) could be in jeopardy, as could his baby-mamas Callie (Sara Ramirez) and »

Is Mad Men creator Matthew Weiner secretly a nostalgic Millennial? It sure seems that way, considering the actors who have popped up on Mad Men lately. Sure, big-ish names like Julia Ormond have made appearances on the show — but their numbers are dwarfed by the veterans from Gen Y touchstones like The Secret World of Alex Mack, Clarissa Explains It All, 10 Things I Hate About You, Gilmore Girls, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and even Saved by the Bell who have been invading AMC’s flagship series for years. This might indicate that Weiner and his casting directors love the late »

Last week's "Grey's Anatomy" episode surprised fans when Avery (Jesse Williams) and Kepner (Sarah Drew) slept together in an adrenaline-fueled, drunken moment of spontaneity. After sharing a sweet, platonic friendship for many years, it was an unexpected twist -- particularly given the fact that Kepner was, until that point, a virgin for religious reasons.
Even Jesse Williams himself was surprised by the turn of events when he first read the script, but he tells us that a contingent of "Grey's Anatomy" fans had been campaigning for an Avery/Kepner hookup for a while.
"The fans have been talking about it for a while," he says. "On Twitter, a lot of them have stirred up some energy around it early on. I think they saw that the characters care for each other so well and have been such good friends for a long time. Some fans really embraced the platonic relationship, »

Count Jesse Williams among those who were shocked after Jackson ended up in bed with virginal April (Sarah Drew) in last week’s Grey’s Anatomy. But now that the deed is done, a large question looms over the two friends: What next?
“They know each other very, very well and they rely on each other so much,” he says. “What it represented to me was the potential to really play itself out over a long period of time. We can take this a lot of different directions.”
And indeed it’s true. With the residents in the thick of »

"Grey's Anatomy" is nearing its season finale, and soon, we'll find out who's staying, who's leaving and, yes, who's dying.
But before we do, we'll learn which resident failed his or her exams in "Let the Bad Times Roll" (Thurs., May 3, 9 p.m. Et on ABC).
As the residents flash back to their stressful exams, reliving every little detail, there's also some other major events for Jackson Avery (Jesse Williams) to rehash. He discovered his mom, Catherine (guest star Debbie Allen), getting way too cozy with Richard (James Pickens, Jr.), and instantly proceeded to cross some sexual boundaries of his own by sleeping with his virginal, saving-herself-for-Jesus best friend April Kepner (Sarah Drew). And then, in a move that left some viewers' jaws on the floor, he didn't even stay to cuddle!
I caught up with Williams to talk about what's next for Jackson and Kepner, and whether or not »

It's the moment we've been waiting for: the Grey's Anatomy residents are taking their medical boards this Thursday, and we'll finally get to see how each of the docs handled it. By the looks of the sneak peek below, Jackson (Jesse Williams) is just as nerve-wracked as the rest of them. Why? Well, he did just sleep with his best friend, and then learn that his mentor and his mother hooked up. TVGuide.com turned to Williams to get the scoop on the medical boards, the future for April (Sarah Drew) and Jackson — and Jesus, apparently — and how Jackson will handle a possible Slexie reunion...

The spring rerun doldrums are over. Cue up the crossovers, the weddings, the stunt casting and the shocking twists, because it's sweeps time.
Starting Thursday night (April 26), your favorite shows will almost certainly be in original episodes until they reach their season finales, and they'll be doing everything possible to grab your attention between now and then. There's a business reason for all that -- ratings during sweeps periods help set the ad rates for local stations -- but the upshot for us is that it makes for a lot of fun viewing (and potentially some crowded DVRs).
Here are seven things to look out for as we steamroll toward the end of the 2011-12 season.
Weddings galore: CBS is going nuts for nuptials in the coming weeks. "NCIS," "The Big Bang Theory," "How I Met Your Mother" -- in which we finally get to see Barney's (Neil Patrick Harris »

The all-important board exams have been looming over the residents at Seattle Grace for weeks. Tonight, after last week’s high stress round of interviews, we’ll finally find out the results and the anxiety of D-day has one resident feeling a little off-balance: April Kepner (Sarah Drew).
“She’s really emotional throughout the whole episode,” Drew says. “She’s literally jumping out her skin so she punches a guy and then makes out with her best friend.”
Yup, that kiss between close friends, Kepner and Jackson Avery (Jesse Williams) is more than promo trickery. Kepner does lock lips with »

April herself, Sarah Drew, gives HollywoodLife.com the scoop on the shocking hookup. The April 26 episode of Grey's Anatomy finds every character on high-alert -- the residents are finally taking their board exams after eight years -- but no one goes off the rails quite like April (Sarah Drew), who manages to punch a guy, yell at Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) and hop into bed with Jackson (Jesse Williams) all in the course of the hour. But will bedding Jackson mean April will finally lose her virginity? "They definitely hook up, but I cannot reveal whether she loses her virginity," Sarah tells HollywoodLife.com. "She gets a little action, for sure, they both do. But I think she's just super high on adrenaline, and she knows Jackson is her best friend and she's safe with him. She's like, 'I don't know what to do with myself, so I'm just going to make out with you. »
