Pavel was born in Krakow Poland in 1951 to Polish Actor and Film Star Stanislaw Zaczyk and stage actress Deirdre Douglas. He came to Britain in 1956.
His childhood and education was predominantly in Scotland and France.
He speaks fluent French. He is the only grandchild of Actor Manager, Author and Political Satirist Ronald MacDonald-Douglas.
His first daughter is Daisy Douglas, a graduate of the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, and a working Actress who also directs regularly for the National Youth Theatre. His first son Zephyr is a landscape gardener.
Pavel lives in Bath England with his partner Sophie Pritchard and eight year old twins. He likes to horse ride, cycle, and Scuba dive.
