Rating: 4.5/5.0

The story of a non-believer who seeks to make a film about proof of demonic possession has a full laundry list for that genre – the odd movements, the voices, the killings, the Church, the “found” video footage and the weird zealots aiding the possessed along the way. What it does differently with the material is in the context circumstance of extreme emotional distress, to the point that it all could be psychosomatic – fiercely so, but possible in the way its presented. Writer/director David Jung creates an environment of dread, one that marries to »

How the web series Caper comments on the superhero genre

19 February 2014 9:50 AM, PST | Shadowlocked | See recent Shadowlocked news »

Last week, Felicia Day's YouTube channel Geek & Sundry debuted their latest live-action scripted show, Caper. Created by Amy Berg (Leverage, Eureka) and Mike Sizemore (Slingers), it concerns a team of impoverished superheroes who reluctantly turn to a life of crime, only to quickly find that it's a big mistake...

[This is a review of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 1, episode 11. There will be Spoilers (like the one above).]

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is back from hiatus and takes the Coulson (Clark Gregg) mystery head-on… kind of (not really). But hey – at least Fitz (Iain De Caestecker) and Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) are now thoroughly entertaining and pleasant to watch onscreen.
