This past Sunday in a cowboy hat wearing city of Canada known as Calgary, the entire cast of Star Trek: The Next Generation got together on stage for the first time in a looooong time. Not only were the seven principle cast members up there in front of 7,000 fans (Patrick Stewart, Jonathan Frakes, Gates McFadden, Marina Sirtis, Brent Spiner, Michael Dorn, LeVar Burton) but so was fanboy enemy #1 himself, Wesley Crusher (Wil Wheaton) and even that dead sexcurity chief of the USS Enterprise, Tasha Yar (Denise Crosby).
While it's only Patrick Stewart who's gone on to have what could be called a bigger acting career after his Tng time, the cast members that hung in there for all seven full seasons (and four subsequent theatrical Trek movies) probably don't need to work another day in their lives, if they want. That's not so true for Wheaton and Crosby who missed »

I dare you to watch Wil Wheaton's tribute to his fellow cast members of The Next Generation without tearing up. The cast got together for the first time in 20 years this weekend at the Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo. Wheaton left the show after four seasons, missing out on the remainder of the series and four feature films. Battlestar Galactica's Aaron Douglas asked the actor what it was like to rejoin his castmates on stage.
Here is Wheaton's heartfelt response: I left Star Trek: The Next Generation when I was 18 years old, and initially I thought that it was a really smart business, career move. In some ways it was, and in more ways it wasn't. What I was unprepared for was how much I was going to miss the people that are on this stage, and how much I was going to miss the spacesuit that I »

Aaron Douglas from "Battlestar Galactica" asked "Star Trek: The Next Generation" star Wil Wheaton what it was like to be back on stage with the cast for the first time in 20 years at the Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo, and his answer brought Marina Sirtis to tears.
Wheaton talked about leaving the show. "I left 'Star Trek: The Next Generation' when I was 18. I thought it was a smart career move. In some ways it was and in some ways it wasn't. What I was unprepared for was how much I was going to miss the people that are on this stage, and how much I was going to miss the space suit that I hated wearing and the helmet hair that I couldn't stand."
He then talks about being ashamed to go back and invite them to his wedding. Every single one of them told him they understood. »
