His older sister, Caroline Dorough-Cochraine, died from Lupus in 1998. His charity, "The Lupus Foundation", is named after her.
Every year celebrity friends join the Dorough family to raise money. They have raised millions of dollars since they begun their fight against Lupus. They also try to educate others about what Lupus is and encourage those at risk to get tested for it.
