TV Recap: No Happily Ever After for ‘Haven’

This episode begins with a couple being terrorized by what appears to be the same creature that they’ve dubbed “The No Marks Killer.” Dave (John Dunsworth) wakes up to realize it was a dream of something that just happened, so he yells for Vince (Richard Donat) to get up and accompany him to try and save the woman. Across town, we see Dwight (Adam Copeland) and Charlotte (Laura Mennell) waking up together, discussing the plan to end the troubles and hoping for their “happily ever after.” Dwight leaves to assist Nathan with a freaked out citizen, who is hearing horses [...]

Haven: Season Five Ratings

Last year, despite a decline in ratings, Syfy renewed Haven for a super-sized fifth season. Many have suspected that this will mean the end for the TV show. Will the ratings fall, ensuring that the show will be cancelled, or will they rise and lead to a season six renewal? Stay tuned.

On Haven, FBI Agent Audrey Parker (Emily Rose) and Officer Nathan Wuornos (Lucas Bryant) investigate strange occurrences in the small town of Haven, Maine. Others in the cast include Emma Lahana, Eric Balfour, Richard Donat, John Dunsworth, and Adam Copeland.

The ratings are typically the best indication of a show's likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.Read More…

TV Recap: No One Is Exempt From Being Fooled on ‘Haven’

In the seaside cottage, Mara (Emily Rose) wakes to find an irritable Duke (Eric Balfour) sitting in a chair staring at her, as we open on this week’s “Haven.” He looks annoyed as he tells her he’s about to set out to locate the aether and she tells him, after a few unnecessary sexual references, that getting it back is “key” to fixing him. They talk about breakfast and he leaves muttering that she’s “already so demanding.” The dialog and Duke’s attitude during this entire scene was very odd. Over at Haven Pd, Vince (Richard Donat) enters Nathan’s (Lucas Bryant) [...]

Everyone Watch the Haven Season Finale, After These TV Spots and Featurette

This season of Haven has been so excellent, so intriguing, and so different from previous seasons yet it has consistently maintained everything I love about the show. It must continue. So make sure to watch it, and make sure you tell everyone you know to watch it. In fact, the three stars of the show have a TV spot asking for that as well:

TV Spot: Haven – Season 4 Finale

Here are some very interesting screenshots from the finale – including one with Audrey and William sporting a new look – as well as a TV spot, and a featurette that discusses why the show is shot on film instead of digitally.

No, it can’t be coming up so soon! But yes, tonight is Haven‘s penultimate episode of the season. Who is William, really, and when it comes down to it, who is Audrey? It looks like we’ll be taking a hard look at that tonight. Who knew Colin Ferguson could be such an excellent bad guy?

And who the heck are they?

The Darkside Seekers Take on Haven in Tonight’s New Episode

Haven is careening towards a season finale that is coming far too soon, as it does every year. Tonight’s new episode is number 11 of 13 for the season. Eric Balfour (Duke) told me last month that this is his favorite episode of the season, because guest stars Danny Masterson (Men at Work, That ‘70s Show) and Kris Lemche (Joan of Arcadia, Ghost Whisperer) are his offscreen friends. Friends who are playing… the Darkside Seekers!

Yes those “famous” fictional investigators of the strange and unusual have finally made it to our favorite strange and unusual town, which should make for another excellent episode. Check out the featurettes that “they” shot, as well as a TV spot and a chilling clip from the new episode:

Tonight’s Trouble-Free Haven Looks Seriously Disturbing in TV Spot and Pics

Last week’s episode of Haven was an excellent game-changer. I always can’t wait to see the next episode, but this week I can’t wait even more, if that’s a thing. Check out Duke Crocker as local law enforcement and Audrey in a tee shirt that I feel all Haven fans need to own. Plus there’s apparently some hands-on-hips requirements this week.

Then check out the TV spot for the episode, entitled “The Trouble With the Troubles”:

TV Spot: Haven – Episode 410 Preview

That William is quite the troublemaker. Ooo, trouble maker…

Haven Season 4, starring Emily Rose, Lucas Bryant, Eric Balfour, Richard Donat, John Dunsworth, Adam Copeland, and Colin Ferguson, airs Fridays at 10/9c on Syfy.

Colin Ferguson Returns to Haven, Darkside Seekers On Their Way

You didn’t really think we’d seen the last of Colin Ferguson on Haven, did you? The mysterious William returns tonight, so maybe we’ll start getting some answers about those nasty bad men from inside the barn and that handprint that keeps showing up.

TV Spot: Haven – Episode 409

Clip: Haven – Episode 409 Sneak Peek

And they aren’t the only visitors to Haven. Remember when the also-myterious “Darkside Seekers” took over the Haven Twitter account before the season began? We’re finally going to be seeing them onscreen in two weeks, on the 22nd.

Danny Masterson Guest Stars On Syfy’S Haven

New York – November 7, 2013 – Danny Masterson (Men at Work, That ‘70s Show) and Kris Lemche (Joan of Arcadia, Ghost Whisperer) join the cast of Syfy’s popular series Haven as guest stars in the episode airing Friday, November 22 at 10Pm (Et/Pt).

Looks Like Our Haven Pals are Under Pressure in Clip and More

Nice twist at the end of last week’s Haven! If you missed it, you really must go watch it on VOD, it was a terrific episode. And of course there was the whole Nathan’s dream situation, which I’ll not go in to here. Just go watch. Go on.

The new “Inside Haven” featurette doesn’t have any major spoilers from last week, but it does have a very cool look at how they create the effect of someone being shot by a gun, and in this case the victim is not surprisingly Sheriff Dwight, the bullet magnet.

The next episode looks like it will continue to move the main storyline along while still uncovering a Trouble of the Week, a combination at which the good folks behind Haven are expert. This week’s trouble looks like it’s an air pressure thing, which results in some pretty cool effects.

Check Out Haven’s Music Featurette Before Checking Out Naked Nathan in TV Spot and Clip

You know that dream everyone seems to have at one time or another, when you’re naked and (fill in the blank – on stage/in class/at the office) in front of clothed people? How about the one where you have a test for a class you forgot to drop? On this week’s Haven, according to the TV spot and clip, that’s what happens to Nathan (Lucas Bryant). And So. Much. More. We don’t know whose trouble it is, but who cares?

First, though, we have an “Inside Haven” featurette, this week about Haven‘s music, with composer Shawn Pierce.

Featurette: Haven – Inside Haven 406

TV Spot: Haven – Preview 407

Get a Preview of Tonight’s Great Haven, Plus a Look at One of the Stars – the Location

I love Haven. Love it. It has the perfect balance of big mythology, monster of the week, character development, cast chemistry, charm, edge, and setting, and I can’t get enough of it. This week’s episode is a perfect example of all of those things, along with a new character that I hope will be a returning one. You’ll see her in the clip below, which also happens to be my favorite scene of the episode.

When I spoke last week with Adam Copeland – yes, Edge, WWE fans – who plays Haven‘s former cleaner and new sheriff Dwight, he said that 406 was his favorite episode of the season. Now I’m not sure he actually meant this one, because he isn’t even in it, but is a really good one.

First, though, take a look at this week’s Inside Haven, because it’s about one of

Learn About the Creepy Kids and What’s to Come on Tonight’s New Haven Episode

So we have Audrey back, but she’s not Audrey, she’s Lexie. I like Lexie, she’s fun, but she’s no Audrey. Will we get Audrey back by the end of the episode? Or the end of the year? We’ll just have to tune in to tonight’s new episode of Haven and find out.

In the meantime, we will be certain to have someone’s new trouble to deal with, and Duke’s brother, and adorable Jennifer, plus our beloved Nathan, Duke, Dwight, and Vince and Dave, so it’s all good.

This week’s Inside Haven featurette shows the process of turning kids into the creepy supernatural kid-like creatures that we saw in last week’s episode. Most fans probably don’t watch Haven for the effects or the look of the creatures – it’s the characters, their chemistry, the town, the mythology, and the

Friday Night is Haven Night, Prep with Inside Haven Featurette and More

I know that the majority of the “location” scenes in Syfy‘s beloved Haven are shot someplace cool and/or interesting in or around Halifax, Nova Scotia. So I was quite surprised to learn that the sewer scenes from last week’s episode were shot in a created set. You too can learn more about that in the “Inside Haven” featurette we have for you, followed by a TV spot for tonight’s new sure-to-be-excellent episode.

Emily Rose and Colin Ferguson Talk Haven Roles With SciFi Mafia

One of the things that Syfy‘s very excellent Haven does very well is to integrate new characters into the show. It helps when the new character is played by someone who is already beloved by Syfy fans, and that’s certainly true of Colin Ferguson, who for six years played Sheriff Jack Carter on Eureka.

Ferguson and Haven star Emily Rose recently took time to talk with the press about the new season and their new characters. Ferguson plays the mysterious William, and Emily Rose is playing Lexie, a fourth version of the the woman whose previous incarnations included Sarah, Lucy, and Audrey Parker.

Here they are in a clip from last week’s episode:

Given the nature of the show, they couldn’t say too much about what was ahead – sorry – so I asked them what they liked best about their

Haven’s Nathan Talks to SciFi Mafia About Season 4, Plus TV Spots and a Clip

How excellent was last week’s Season 4 premiere of Haven? (Correct answer: Oh So Excellent, or in the alternative, It Was Completely Excellent). The new cast members fit in seamlessly, and although many of our favorites found themselves in new and very different situations, it was terrific to have them back on our screens.

As I said in my review, Lucas Bryant really knocked it out of the park with his portrayal of Nathan as devastated, destroyed, a shadow of his usual self. I spoke with him recently and asked him if things would be getting better for Nathan soon:

There are some happy moments definitely for Nathan, but sadly, they seem to be fleeting. You know that’s just the way it has got to go. When things start looking too good, you have to just smash it all to pieces, right? Especially in the first half of the season,
