Cinema Slaughter to Bring the 'Dead Flesh Feast' to Hollywood

A cool festival is coming to the Hollywood, CA area in June and Mike Lopez from Cinema Slaughter sent over some shots to genre actor Bill Oberst Jr. and he kindly forwarded them onto us.

According to the festival director Mike Lopez, actor/director Corey Feldman has confirmed he will attend the convention as a guest and will also screen his directorial debut film there.

Check out the exclusive black and white photo of Bill looking awesomely gruesome (above) as well as some other images below, and if you are in the area, be sure to check out the Dead Flesh Feast on June 25 in Hollywood, CA. More details can be found below.

The fest will be packed with kick ass Indie films, a special celebrity panel, and will be closing the night with one of the most controversial films in recent history, A Serbian Film. »

Exclusive to Dread, here’s a handful of photos from the February 12th second annual Women in Horror celebration at La’s house of macabre, Burbank’s Dark Delicacies (3512 W. Magnolia Blvd., Burbank, CA).

Well attended, those on hand were artists Melissa Krimsky (who provided a special makeup effects demonstration) and Jacky Belle, along with Creepy Gothic Dolls owner Bastet2329 and horror actresses Elissa Dowling, Michelle Tomlinson, Rachel Grubb, Tara Cardinal, Mo Whelan, Eileen Dietz, Dai Green, Reyna Young, Victoria Del Mare, Monique Parent and Brooke Lewis. Filmmaker and "Face Off" reality star Frank Ippolito turned out to support, as did Mike Mendez, Kevin Tenney and a slew of others.

Is it ever okay to display sour grapes on your Facebook page? It is, if you're a would-be scream queen who doesn't pass the audition, apparently.

The indie horror film production Prey to God (get it?) has been struggling along since earlier in Fall of '10 to get their budget in order and to fill out their cast of young college-aged gals and terrifying religious killers. Prey to God's synopsis reads like a new Kevin Smith movie; Monica, and her boyfriend Jeff, plus a few other friends/siblings think they're in for a fun weekend when the run afoul of right-wing Christian conservatives who believe in torture and murder as solid methods for forcing people to atone for their sins.

Horror actresses and filmmakers are hosting a charity clothing drive at Dark Delicacies in Burbank, California, USA in honor of Women in Horror Month.

The women headlining the event are Elissa Dowling, Victoria DeMare, Monique Parent, Rachel Grubb, Eileen Dietz, Michelle Tomlinson, Mo Whelan, Reyna Young, Melissa Krimsky, Brooke Lewis and Tara Cardinal. Many more are expected to make appearances to support them.

The Clothing Drive, aka “Strip for a Cause,” created by Tara Cardinal, will benefit the La Chapter of Covenant House. Representatives from Covenant House will be on hand to collect donations.
