Kino Lorber's Horizon Movies label has acquired all North American rights to "Pig," the latest sci-fi flick from Henry Barrial ("The House That Jack Built"). The sci-fi/mystery feature had garnered great success on the festival circuit this past year. The film stars Rudolf Martin ("Swordfish," "High Art," "NCIS") and features Patrick Fabian ("The Last Exorcism"), Steve Tom (HBO's "Funny Or Die") and Keith Diamond ("The Drew Carey Show"). "Pig" tells the story of a man (Rudolf Martin), who wakes up alone and in critical condition in the middle of the desert with a black hood on his head and his hands tied behind his back. He is discovered by a woman and is nursed back to health, only to realize he has amnesia, and has no idea who he is. So, you wake up in the desert one day, with absolutely no memory of anything that's happened to you or even how you got here. In my younger days I would refer to that as Thursday, but when it comes to the movie biz, what we are talking about is the sci-fi thriller Pig.
The flick has done well on the sci-fi fest circuit during the past year, and it tells the story of a man who wakes up in the desert with his hands bound and a hood over his head. After being rescued by a local woman, he realizes he has amnesia and has no idea of who he is and how he got there. A lone clue sends him on a dangerous journey of discovery.
