Has not released an album since 1994's "Interlude".
Influential old-school rapper.
Self-titled first album was released in 1986.
Had a long "battle rap" feud with LL Cool J. Some of the songs where his "dissed" him were "How Ya Like Me Now" and "Let's Go" (which is featured on the Nightmare on Elm Street 5 and Boyz 'N Tha Hood soundtracks).
Participated in the first "battle rap" of all time in 1982 at The Harlem World in Manhattan, when he and fellow Treacherous Three member L.A. Sunshine went on stage after rapper Busy Bee had finished, and verbally attacked Busy Bee.
Author of the book "There's a God on the Mic", (which he also based his documentary of the same name). It lists, in his opinion, the fifty greatest hip-hop artists of all time, the top three being Tupac Shakur, Rakim, and Grandmaster Melle Mel.
Brother of Gamel Dewese.
