Sister of the comedy acrobat Fred Desmond from the "Desmond and Marks" double act
British dancer and cabaret star, on stage from the age of ten. A gifted impersonator, capable of playing multiple roles during a performance. Considerably more prolific on stage and radio than on screen. Toured army camps with ENSA during World War II. Retired in 1953.
