Sam Denoff (1928–2011)

Composer ("Bupkis"), author and actor, educated at Adelphi College, and later on the staff at WNEW in New York. He was a television script writer and also wrote much special material for night clubs and a number of singing commercials. Joining ASCAP in 1956, his chief musical collaborators include Gene Klavan, Bill Persky and James Haines. See full bio »

In 1974, he produced an unsold sitcom pilot for NBC called "My Wife Next Door". The plot concerned a divorced couple, played by James Franciscus and Julie Sommars, who accidentally rent adjacent apartments in a beach-front community.
