Moira Kirland got her start in television as the Director of Development for Steven Bochco Productions, where she helped to staff such acclaimed shows as "NYPD Blue," "Doogie Howser, M.D." and "Brooklyn South." Shortly after making the decision to pursue a writing career full-time, Moira sold a spec feature script to New Line, then served as Co-Producer for two seasons on James Cameron's "Dark Angel." Stints on Medium, Castle and Arrow soon followed. She is a Co-Executive Producer on CBS's Sunday night staple, Madam Secretary, and in 2016 she received both a Voice and a Sentinel award for her episode, "Invasive Species."
