Today in our kid casting notices, we have an exciting opportunity for two young actors in New Conservatory Theatre Center’s “Everything That’s Beautiful,” a new play by Elyzabeth Gregory Wilder. The piece seeks one actor aged 8–11 to portray a lead role named Morgan, who “knows who she is and often gets frustrated that others don’t see her true self.” Casting is open to all genders. Additionally, the project is casting a male actor aged 12–16 to play a supporting role named Theo, who is “adolescent, angst ridden, resentful, but quick witted.” Directed by Ed Decker, the play depicts parents who “allow their eight-year-old child to live as a girl, [as] they relocate from the Midwest in order to give the family a clean start.” Auditions will be held by appointment on Sept. 11 & 12 in San Francisco, California.
