Christopher Dean was born on July 27, 1958 in Nottingham, England as Christopher Colin Dean. He is known for his work on Dancing on Ice (2006), Facing the Music: The Return of Torvill and Dean (1994) and Mid Life Christmas (2009). He was previously married to Jill Trenary and Isabelle Duchesnay.

He and his skating partner, Jayne Torvill, were both awarded the OBE (Officers of the Order of British Empire) in the 2000 Queen's Millennium Honors List for their services to Ice Skating.

Won an Olympic Gold Medal with skating partner Jayne Torvill at the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo. They subsequently became the highest scoring ice dancers in the competition, scoring 9 6.0s for artistic impression for their skate to Ravel's Bolero, a score never seen before or since.
Announced that he and Jayne Torvill will quit the ITV show _Dancing on Ice (I) (2006)_ after 9 years in 2014 with their last _Dancing on Ice (I) (2006)_ national tour to follow, which will include the last performance of their trademark Bolero.
