In an early foray into TV fiction production in Spain, TV giant FremantleMedia has teamed with country’s leading pay TV service, Telefonica’s Movistar Plus, to adapt Lisa Kudrow’s “Web Therapy,” the comedy series aired by Showtime in the U.S.

The Spanish version, set to premiere in February on Movistar’s upcoming premium channel #0, is being distributed globally by FremantleMedia International, which has brought the show to Natpe.

Improvised TV series toplines a local actress, stand-up comedian and TV host Eva Hache (“Got Talent Espana”), who plays Rebeca Miller, a narcissistic therapist of unspecified credentials with limited patience for others’ problems, as she develops a new brand of therapy for a three minute-online session via webcam. Miller will show an uncanny ability to turn almost every session into an opportunity to talk about herself.

Gonzalo de Castro (“ByB,” “Doctor Mateo”) plays Miller’s husband, Federico Pinto, a man of dubious ethics. »
