We’ve all been told not to judge something by it’s cover. However, when you see a title like Metal Shifters, Camel Spiders, or Ice Quake, you should probably have an inkling that you’re about to watch a B movie. For the B-lovers out there, these three titles pack some ridiculous moments that are sure to entertain.
Metal Shifters:
Just when you thought there weren’t enough movies about Idaho, Paul Ziller brings B-movie lovers a little gem called Metal Shifters. Having enjoyed an array of farfetched Syfy movies, I can usually take any plot line with a grain of salt. However, with this film, I found myself pondering some simple, moral questions. My biggest quandary stems from the premise of the movie: if a strange, metal object plummeted from the sky, would your first thought be “I wonder how much I could sell that for?” Probably not. »

Two men hear a noise in the woods and see a man wearing a mask in the shadows. One Year later a team from Atlantis find the mask. Beckett (Paul McGillion) is leaving to help others. Sheppard (Joe Flanigan) tells him they've found one of Michael's labs which he has to check out before he can go. Sheppard didn't tell Beckett there'd be so much walking involved, he complains like Rodney (David Hewlett). Sheppard is shocked to see four women heading up the Atlantis team headed by Major Teldy (Christina Cox), with Mehra, (Janina Gavankar) Alison Porter (Nicole de Boer) and Vega (Leela Savasta). He wasn't going to say his team were "a bunch of girls!" She picked the best and the brightest. Sheppard: "Funny how that worked out." They picked up a lock in the signal to the catacombs and discovered statis pods. Beckett isn't familiar with this facility. »

Two brothers witness the crash and decide to cash in the metal to a junk yard owner who is in the process of creating a metal golem sculpture for the town’s centennial. The bacteria is attracted to metal, and attaches to the statue, bringing it to life and wreaking havoc on the small town.
