5 June 2013 4:00 AM, PDT | Indiewire Television | See recent Indiewire Television news »

The Writers Guild of America just announced their 101 Best Written TV Series list. There are few women written shows on the list and none within the top ten.  (To clarify- we have listed the creators where available, not all the staff writers.) However, the women written shows that made the list are some of our favorites from the hilarious Absolutely Fabulous, the realistic and touching My So-Called Life and classics like I Love Lucy and Golden Girls. Here are all the women written shows on the list. You can find the list in full at the link. 12 - I Love Lucy CBS "Pilot," Written by Jess Oppenheimer & Madelyn Pugh & Bob Carroll, Jr. 17 - The Daily Show with Jon Stewart Comedy Central Created by Madeleine Smithberg, Lizz Winstead 21 - 30 Rock NBC Created by Tina Fey 24 - Friends - NBC Created by Marta Kauffman & David Crane 25 - Saturday Night Live NBC Season »
