Teaser Trailer for Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted

10 December 2011 9:02 AM, PST | Reelzchannel.com | See recent ReelzChannel news »

Six years ago, Alex the Lion (voiced by Ben Stiller), Marty the Zebra (Chris Rock), Gloria the Hippopotamus (Jada Pinkett Smith), and Melman the Giraffe (David Schwimmer) were safely on their way from the Central Park Zoo to a wildlife preserve in Kenya when a botched penguin hijacking found them washed up on the shores of an island off the coast of Africa in Madagascar.

In the sequel, Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa, the gang decided that it was time that they return to New York City, but their plane crash-landed in the heart of Africa and, of course, trouble ensued. Now, everyone's favorite animal entourage returns in their first 3D adventure, Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted, in which they once again try to return to their home at the Central Park Zoo only to end up getting stranded in Europe, hooked up with a traveling circus and pursued by »

Noah Baumbach’s ‘Madagascar 3’ Trailer

8 December 2011 5:21 PM, PST | The Film Stage | See recent The Film Stage news »

Alright, so he may not have directed the film but Noah Baumbach has sole screenwriting credit on the third film in the Madagascar saga. The Greenberg director has helped out on studio films like Tower Heist, but he must have had a good experience on Fantastic Mr. Fox, because he is back for animation seconds here.

The crew went back to Africa last time and now they head to Europe in this incarnation. I actually found the first films to have a fun, off-kilter vibe and Baumbach may be the one to push it a little further here. Directed by Eric Darnell (who gave us the others & Antz), one can see the trailer below via Yahoo for the film featuring voicework by Ben Stiller, Chris Rock, Jada Pinkett Smith, David Schwimmer and Sacha Baron Cohen.

Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted arrives on June 8th, 2012.

8 December 2011 2:49 PM, PST | cinemablend.com | See recent Cinema Blend news »

Both Madagascar and Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa were massively successful here in America, pulling in nearly $200 million each, but their totals domestically are nothing compared to how the movies perform overseas. This fact isn't lost on Dreamworks Animation either. Need proof? The third film is called Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted. The jokes write themselves. DreamWorks Animation Releases Film Schedule Through To 2014

9 March 2011 2:38 PM, PST | HeyUGuys.co.uk | See recent HeyUGuys news »

DreamWorks Animation have announced a very exciting total of nine films to be released in the coming five years.

Three of the nine will be sequels to previous successes (Kung Fu Panda 2, Madagascar 3, and How To Train Your Dragon 2), and the rest will be originals – albeit, with Puss In Boots being a spin-off from the Shrek franchise.

The release schedule looks as follows:

Kung Fu Panda 2, 26th May, 2011

Puss In Boots, 4th November, 2011

Madagascar 3, 8th June, 2012

Rise Of The Guardians, 21st November, 2012

The Croods, 1st March, 2013

– Turbo, 7th June, 2013

– My And My Shadow, 8th November, 2013

– Mr. Peabody & Sherman, 21st March, 2014

How To Train Your Dragon 2, 20th June, 2014

Looking down the list, it doesn’t seem too far-fetched a prediction to expect the studio to have nine very successful films on their hands. The three sequels will naturally attract and build on the original audience, »

DreamWorks Animation confirms its next nine films

8 March 2011 10:34 PM, PST | Den of Geek | See recent Den of Geek news »

There are some genuinely fascinating looking features on the newly-announced DreamWorks Animation slate. Here’s what the studio will be up to, up to 2014…

It was a year or two back that DreamWorks Animation moved to a model whereby it would make at least two animated movies every year. Furthermore, it also confirmed its intention to release a third film every other year, too (as it did last year), which all points to very busy times ahead for the studio.

And now we've got an idea of just what DreamWorks Animation will be working on. The studio has confirmed its slate through to 2014, and just who will be directing what.

Here's what we've got to look forward to...

Kung Fu Panda 2

Due May 2011

We know about this one already. Due out in a couple of months' time, it sees the return of Jack Black as the voice of Po. »
