Sandy Daley(I)
- Actress
In her first audition, Jamaican-born, Toronto-bred beauty Sandy Daley
scored the lead role in Christene Browne's feature film, ANOTHER
PLANET. It is the story of a young black woman from Toronto who
searches for her identity and discovers her African roots on a Quebec
farm. Film critics have described Daley as a young Susan Sarandon, with
the range and charisma of Angela Bassett. Daley has appeared in
numerous music videos, and her acting credits include lead roles in
various college productions including, THE SWEETEST THING, where Ms.
Daley showed remarkable versatility by playing a 60-year-old woman. Ms.
Daley has also performed at the Living in the City Theatre and the Far
Side Theatre, both in Jamaica. On television, Ms. Daley co-hosted
"Word", a youth-orientated cable program.
