The Golden State Warriors have been pushed to the brink of elimination by the San Antonio Spurs in their 2013 NBA Finals Western Conference Semifinals battle. For the Spurs to close out the series and send the Warriors packing tonight, they will have to win two consecutive games in a series that thus far has been strictly a back-and-forth affair.

The Warriors have been hurt by an injury to their leading scorer Stephen Curry that has limited his speed and ability to score by going to the rim. This has allowed the Spurs to extra defensive pressure on Klay Thompson resulting in the dynamic guard duo combining for only 13 points in their Game 5 loss on the road. Both players are capable of putting up 25 points or more on any given night.

Curry won't use his ankle as an excuse, but his production drop-off since injuring it is impossible to ignore. He »

The Golden State Warriors overcame an overtime scare in Game 4 of their 2013 NBA Playoffs Western Conference Semifinals series against the San Antonio Spurs to even up the series and send it back to Texas all knotted up at two games-a-piece. They did so with Stephen Curry hobbling around on an injured left ankle that should be a little more healed heading into tonight's pivotal Game 5 showdown.

Curry wasn't tasked with running around much in Game 4. Instead the guard found himself parked on the arc quite a bit and made the most of his opportunities in nailing five of ten three-pointers. By the end of the overtime period and a decisive 97-87 win for the Warriors, Curry had sunk 22 total points. It was vindication for the Warriors after blowing a 16 point lead in Game 1 with four minutes left and then losing the game in overtime.

After Game 2 of the 2013 NBA Playoffs Western Conference Semifinals between the San Antonio Spurs and Golden State Warriors, it looked as if the Warriors were on their way to dispatching the Spurs and moving on to the Conference Finals. Instead, the Spurs pulled out a Game 3 in on the road, and to add insult to injury, the Warriors lost Stephen Curry to his often injured ankle.

Curry's status for this afternoon's Game 4 is questionable after he re-aggravated his perpetually injured left ankle, and whether he plays or not won't be decided until the last possible moment. He didn't appear at any of the team's shoot-arounds since Game 3, instead opting to have treatment behind-closed-doors. He obviously wants to play, but if he can't, other Warriors are going to have to step up big time to fill a massive void.

Set aside an against all odds comeback and the Golden State Warriors should be enjoying a commanding 2-0 lead in their 2013 NBA Playoffs Western Conference Semifinal series against the formerly favored San Antonio Spurs. After blowing a huge double digit lead in the closing minutes of Game 1, the Warriors were clearly the better team in Game 2 both on the court and the scoreboard. With two games now at Golden State and in the toughest of all NBA arenas to play in on the road, the Spurs find themselves with their backs against the wall.

It's easy to pick the smoldering shooting of Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry as the reason the Warriors are dominating the Spurs thus far. The extent of the mismatch spreads into rebounding, all-around team shooting, and general hustle. Those two players can barely make a shot, while Andrew Bogut is dominating inside. That in itself seems »

Apart from a bizarre monumental collapse, the Golden State Warriors should be up two games to none in their 2013 NBA Playoffs Western Conference Semifinal series against the San Antonio Spurs. After blowing a huge lead in the closing minutes of Game 1, the Warriors were clearly the better team in Game 2. With two games now at Golden State and in the toughest of all NBA arenas to play in on the road, the Spurs find themselves up against the wall.

It's easy to look at the smoldering shot shooing of Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry as the reason the Warriors are dominating the Spurs. The extent of the mismatch spreads into rebounding, all-around team shooting, and general hustle. Those two players can barely make a shot, while Andrew Bogut is dominating inside. That in itself seems a small miracle since the big man was previously on the verge of entering retirement from the NBA. »

The Golden State Warriors likely still feel the sting of Manu Ginobili's game-winning three-pointer in double overtime of their Game 1 loss to the San Antonio Spurs in the 2013 NBA Playoffs. Though a last second shot won the game for the Spurs, it was a monumental collapse in the fourth quarter that sealed the Warriors' fate.

Up by 16 points with only four minutes remaining, the Warriors let the Spurs score inside and out to force overtime and an eventual Game 1 win. Stephen Curry's amazing effort of 44 points was wasted, as was the opportunity to steal home court advantage for the Warriors and win in San Antonio for the first time in over a decade.

A big reason for the collapse came when Klay Thompson fouled out. He had been guarding Tony Parker effectively for most of the game, but when he took a seat, Parker was able to dissect »

The Golden State Warriors aren't supposed to be in Round 2 of the 2013 NBA Playoffs after being a heavy underdog in Round 1. Yet here they are, having upset the Denver Nuggets only to have to face the favorite to come out of the Western Conference, the San Antonio Spurs.

In their last meeting a little less than a month ago, the Warriors defeated the Spurs by 10 points behind a three-point barrage by Stephen Curry. It was the sharpshooting of the Warriors and especially Curry that helped them get by a speedy Nuggets team that thrives off the fast break from missed shots. Curry and his teammates are going to need an encore performance to beat the seasoned Spurs and advance to the Western Conference Finals.

You wouldn't know Curry has been playing injured by the numbers he has been putting up of late. He enters tonight nursing a sprained ankle suffered in Game 2 versus the Nuggets. »

The last thing the Golden State Warriors want in their 2013 NBA Playoffs run is to return to Denver and have to beat the Nuggets on their home floor in a decisive Game 7. A loss tonight at home will force just that and flip the tables on what was once a commanding 3-1 series advantage.

The Nuggets finally got their act together in Game 5 by not only cutting down on the smoking hot shooting by the Nuggets, but putting up 107 points themselves. Part of the momentum shift came from more physical play by the Nuggets, especially against shooting guard Stephen Curry. Though Denver played Curry tightly and roughed him up a little, Curry didn't shoot a single free throw in the entire game.

Controversy entering tonight's game centers around whether Kenneth Faried of the Nuggets was deliberately targeting Stephen Curry's fragile ankles and trying to hurt him. Faried denied the accusations, »

The Denver Nuggets narrowly won the first game of their 2013 NBA Playoffs series with the Golden State Warriors by a single bucket. In the biggest surprise of the Playoffs thus far, it turns out that victory has been the lone high point for one of the hottest teams heading into the tournament.

Behind the sharp shooting of Stephen Curry and inside presence of Andrew Bogut, the David Lee-less Warriors have pushed the Nuggets to the brink of elimination with a commanding 3-1 series lead. No one thought the Nuggets had any chance of winning the series being the relative newcomer into the playoffs scene, while the Nuggets have been a fixture over the past decade, including winning 23 of their final 26 games heading in.

If the Nuggets continue to shoot lights out and drain seemingly every three-pointer they throw up, the Nuggets don't have much of a chance. Many of »

Save Your Legs! has posted one of the worst box office opening weekend performances among Australian films released in recent times.

The comedy, distributed by Madman Entertainment, grossed $164,654 on 176 screens giving it a screen average of just $936 despite attracting generally positive reviews. By way of comparison, a similarly wide local release, comedy Housos Vs. Authority, took $526,166 across 151 screens for a screen average of $3485 on its opening weekend last November. Other Australian films to struggle in recent years include teen drama Wasted on the Young, which opened with $52,907 across 54 screens in March 2011 (screen average $979); drama Matching Jack, »
