Gordon Currie was born in Vancouver, Canada to American parents. One of his first or breakthrough roles was playing Officer Palone on "21 Jump Street" (1987). In 1991, after a couple years working in locally shot TV and film in Vancouver, Gordon moved to Los Angeles to study acting more seriously. Gordon's first roommate was Brad Pitt. The two lived for over a year off Melrose Ave. near the Improv in a two bedroom flat. During this time, to make ends meet, he became one of L.A.'s Ronald McDonald clowns doing parades and magic shows. However, it wasn't too long before Gordon worked more on larger TV and film roles. He's lived and worked in both Los Angeles and New York for a number of years, working in Canada and the U.S.A..

In addition to directing and producing low budget independent film Magnus Opus, he had to operate the sound boom, and operate the B-camera at times, due to crew shortages.
