In addition to offering the content from the print edition of Variety, the Hollywood industry publication hosts numerous blogs as well. One of the most interesting blogs is called Season Pass where editors discuss TV show news, series they enjoy, and other small-screen related subjects (including a nice mention of this site). They've also been having question and answer sessions with some of their favorite people working in television today. Kathy Lyford, Variety's managing editor, recently interviewed the talented Jim Parsons from CBS' popular The Big Bang Theory TV show.
The Big Bang Theory centers around a foursome of brilliant yet socially-awkward scientists and their female friend. Egotistical Sheldon Cooper (Parsons) and insecure Leonard Hofstadter (Johnny Galecki) are roommates and live across the hall from Leonard's crush, an aspiring actress named Penny (Kaley Cuoco). The roommates' friends and coworkers are ladiesman-wannabe Howard Wolowitz (Simon Helberg) and Rajesh Koothrappali (Kunal Nayyar »
Last week on CBS’ The Big Bang Theory, we saw Leonard (Johnny Galecki) and Penny (Kaley Cuoco) end their relationship, while Leslie Winkle (Sarah Gilbert) made a move on Leonard and proposed to revisit their relationship. Leonard on the other hand, sent Sheldon (Jim Parsons) out of the apartment so that he could have some private time with Leslie, whom Sheldon doesn’t like. Penny returned in time to see Leonard and Leslie and they both fueled the fire of jealousy by making out with their respective partners.
Tonight on The Big Bang Theory, antics ensue as Sheldon introduces Penny to online gaming.
Created and executively produced by Chuck Lorre and Billy Prady, The Big Bang Theory follows two exceptionally smart physicists Leonard and Sheldon, who live across the hall from blonde bombshell Penny. The show is one of today’s most successful sitcoms and stars Johnny Galecki, Jim Parsons and Kaley Cuoco. »
Last week, The Big Bang Theory returned with its second season premiere entitled “The Bad Fish Paradigm,” which brought back Jim Parsons as Sheldon, Johnny Galecki as Leonard, Kaley Cuoco as Penny, Simon Helberg as Howard Wolowitz, Kunal Nayyar as Rajesh Koothrappali and Sara Gilbert as Leslie Winkle.
In the season opener, we saw Sheldon take the spotlight and play a part in the unlikely romance between Leonard and Penny. After an awkward first date, Leonard tried to kiss Penny in the hallway, where they unknowingly get recorded on a camera that was set up to spy on them. Tonight, we’ll get to see more of the hilarious adventures of Sheldon, Leonary and Penny on The Big Bang Theory.
