Trivia:

The daughter of an army major, she made her stage debut in 1883 at the Pittsburgh Opera House in "The White Slave". Favouring piquant comedy roles, she became a renowned stage star of the 1890's and 1900's, notably under the management of David Belasco and Charles Frohman. She was one of the first big name actresses to join the movies, signing with Famous Players Lasky in 1914. See more »
