Ryan Reynolds will be making his third appearance in the series, while Amanda Seyfried will voice a show dog, Ian McKellen will play Stewie’s therapist, and stars from Modern Family will appear in an episode which sees Family Guy reimagined as an “Emmy bait” series.

Following the arrival of a poster for earlier today [check it out here], A24 has now unveiled the first trailer for the upcoming biographical comedy drama The Disaster Artist. With The Disaster Artist, James Franco transforms the tragicomic true-story of aspiring filmmaker and infamous Hollywood outsider Tommy Wiseau – an artist whose passion was as sincere as his methods were questionable – into a celebration of friendship, artistic expression, and dreams pursued against insurmountable odds. “Oh, Hi Mark!” – first trailer for James Franco’s The Disaster Artist arrives

18 July 2017 9:40 AM, PDT | HeyUGuys.co.uk | See recent HeyUGuys news »

Author: Scott Davis

As if we couldn’t be any more excited by this one, A24 have released the very first trailer for the eagerly anticipated The Disaster Artist, which you can view below.

Based on the book of the same name by Greg Sestero, The Disaster Artist tells the behind-the-scenes story of cinema’s greatest bad film, The Room, and the work of writer/director Tommy Wiseau (played by Franco in the film) who created the film. Dave Franco stars as Sestero in the film alongside an array of A-list talent who fill out the supporting roles.

The Room gained ultimate cult status back in 2003 and was considered one of the worst films of all time. But as the years went on, the film grew into one of the “must-see” films and through many additional screenings, including quote-a-longs at London’s Prince Charles Cinema (where it now plays many »

First Trailer for 'The Disaster Artist' Starring James Franco as Wiseau

18 July 2017 8:02 AM, PDT | firstshowing.net | See recent FirstShowing.net news »

"Oh, hi Mark!" A24 has unveiled the first trailer for the film The Disaster Artist, a fictional account of the making of the "best worst movie ever made" - The Room, as directed by Tommy Wiseau. The film stars James Franco, who also directs, as Tommy Wiseau, the awkward mastermind behind this disaster of a movie. This first trailer focuses entirely on one scene and Wiseau's attempts to perform the line properly. The impressive ensemble includes Seth Rogen, Alison Brie, Zoey Deutch, Zac Efron, Dave Franco, Bryan Cranston, Kristen Bell, Eliza Coupe, Josh Hutcherson, Sharon Stone, Adam Scott, Jason Mantzoukas, Kate Upton, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Ari Graynor, with an appearance by Judd Apatow. Whew, what a cast. I've got a good feeling this is going to be something special, perhaps as good as Burton's Ed Wood (also about the making of a "worst film"). This first premiered at the SXSW Film Festival. »

James Franco's Movie About the Worst Movie Ever Made Actually Looks Pretty Hilarious

18 July 2017 8:00 AM, PDT | POPSUGAR | See recent BuzzSugar news »

Typically a tagline for a movie sings its praises, but Seth Rogen and James Franco's The Disaster Artist is anything but typical. The buddy comedy duo has teamed up yet again to tell "the true story of one movie so bad it became infamous," aka Tommy Wiseau's 2003 cult drama, The Room. Screenings of The Disaster Artist at SXSW racked up positive critiques, and if the rest of the movie is anything like the first hilarious teaser, we're even more excited. Franco stars as Wiseau alongside brother Dave Franco, Alison Brie, Bryan Cranston, Dylan Minnette, Zoey Deutch, Kristen Bell, and Zac Efron. The release date is still Tbd, so why don't you check out The Room for yourself in the meantime? (Just kidding.) »

James Franco is Tommy Wiseau in First Teaser for ‘The Disaster Artist’

18 July 2017 6:00 AM, PDT | The Film Stage | See recent The Film Stage news »

Filmmaker, actor and underwear designer Tommy Wiseau became something of a cult phenomenon when he released his baffling 2003 film The Room. A poorly made, bizarrely acted melodrama, Wiseau’s Room would go on to achieve midnight movie status — the type of so-bad-it’s-good film that grows through word of mouth via the incredulous viewers who happen to witness it.

Now the story of how Wiseau made The Room is a film itself in James Franco’s The Disaster Artist. The making-of The Room tale is seen through the eyes of Greg Sestero (Dave Franco), who served as a line producer on the film and played Mark, of “oh, hi Mark” fame. Director James Franco also plays Wiseau, adopting the filmmaker’s trademark accent and aloofness to eerie perfection.

Based on the book of the same name by Sestero and Tom Bissell, The Disaster Artist features a loaded cast that includes Seth Rogen, »

The trailer for James Franco’s bizarre yet lauded picture “The Disaster Artist” has finally dropped, giving audiences a sneak peek of the film-within-a-film.

Seth Rogen also co-stars along with a whole host of familiar comedic faces, as well as several cameos (Bryan Cranston, anyone?).
