Appeared with actor Carmen Filpi in two movies: Pee-wee's Big Adventure (1985) and The Beverly Hillbillies (1993).
Veteran character actor who unexpectedly attained pop culture status playing Joseph "Blue" Palasky in Old School (2003). He was well into his 80s when he was cast in the small part that gave him the kind of public recognition rarely afforded a character actor.
Was invited to meet with the Texas Rangers when they were playing the Angels in Anaheim.
Had five children: Bobbie Jean, Janet, Joe, Beverly, and Frederick.
Became interested in acting while entertaining American troops before World War II.
