Need an escape from the deluge of soul-crushing headlines out of Hollywood and the White House? TVLine’s Quotes of the Week is the perfect Sunday afternoon distraction.

This time around, we’ve got a high tolerance for crazy on Jane the Virgin, a genuinely crazy source of inspiration on Project Runway and a reference to Hell’s most notorious occupant on Lucifer.

Also included in this week’s round-up: double doses of The Big Bang Theory, The Flash and NCIS: Los Angeles, and a callback to Katherine Heigl’s time on Grey’s Anatomy.

Guest Stars Abound In Supergirl And The Flash’s Week 5 Synopses

Though the summer hiatus felt like an eternity, we can now breathe easier with the fall season of DC TV being back in full swing. Not only that, but synopses for episodes set to air during week 5 have now surfaced online, including those for Supergirl and The Flash.

First, on Monday, November 6, corrupt businessman Morgan Edge will once again prove to be a thorn in the side of Supergirl and her cohorts. This time, he’s causing headaches for Lena Luthor by saying that she’s responsible of a string of lead poisonings in National City. If you’ll recall, her involvement in taking down the Daxamite invasion in last spring’s finale by building the lead bomb was crucial, but it sounds like he’ll sow enough doubt in Lena to make her second guess those valiant efforts.

In addition to seeing what else Adrian Pasdar can bring to the role of Edge,

‘Vikings’ Season 5 Trailer Teases Blood, Beards, and Betrayal — Watch

‘Vikings’ Season 5 Trailer Teases Blood, Beards, and Betrayal — Watch
The History Channel drama series “Vikings” returns with an epic two-hour season premiere on Nov. 29, and the recently released trailers prove that Season 5 is not meant for the meek.

The striking new artwork features a handful of the show’s main characters, including Katheryn Winnick as Lagertha and Alex Høgh Anderson as Ivar the Boneless. The poster, which raises the question, “Who will rise?” alludes to the alliances and betrayals these characters will endure throughout the season.

There won’t be a shortage of angry stares and bloody fight scenes following the shocking death of Ragnar Lothbrok (Travis Fimmel) in Season 4. As the saga continues, the series will live on through Ragnar’s sons as they avenge their father’s death. A deadly power struggle seems to be building between the show’s main players which could very well lead to a massive showdown. Additionally, Jonathan Rhys Meyers will join the cast as Bishop Heahmund,

Supergirl Season 3 Review

One episode was provided prior to broadcast.

Fans of Buffy the Vampire Slayer may recall season 2 premiere “When She Was Bad,” in which our hero sports a particularly bad attitude as she processes the traumatic events of the previous season’s finale. Given the near-destruction of National City in season 2 of Supergirl and the ultimate exile from Earth imposed on Mon-El (Chris Wood), Kara Danvers (Melissa Benoist) is understandably in a similarly troubling place. It’s quite a change of pace for the bright-eyed Girl of Steel to suddenly find herself at such an emotional crossroads, but that’s precisely where season 3 of The CW series begins.

Much like Arrowverse sister series The Flash, Supergirl received some flack last year for going a bit too dark with its storytelling, despite the introduction of Tyler Hoechlin as a hopeful vision of Superman. So, it’s telling that the showrunners here are

WWE No Mercy: Ten Best Matches in the Event’s History

Liam Hoofe takes a look back at some of the best matches in the history of the WWE No Mercy event…

Outside of the big four PPVs, there are very few events that have been as consistent over the years as WWE No Mercy. The event, which is for the first time, a Raw-exclusive pay-per-view has a fine history of excellent matches and this year’s event, especially with its two huge main event matches, looks set to follow in that tradition.

John Cena and Roman Reigns will meet for the first time ever this Sunday, as will Braun Strowman and Brock Lesnar as they do battle for the WWE Universal Championship. The two matches have a lot of competition, though, if they wanted to make the list of No Mercy’s greatest match of all time.

Let’s take a look back at some the best encounters to have

Is Supergirl about to shed her secret identity for good?!

Et has your exclusive sneak peek at the first footage from the CW drama's highly anticipated third season, and it seems like Kara Danvers (Melissa Benoist) is tired of hiding her true Kryptonian identity.

"I am not a human -- I tried to be, but I'm not," Supergirl shares in a dramatic voiceover. "Kara Danvers was a mistake."

Yikes!

Exclusive: 'Supergirl' Melissa Benoist and Chris Wood Dish on Karamel's 'Sweet' Relationship!

The two-minute preview, which first debuted at Supergirl's Comic-Con panel on Saturday, features an unusually solemn Kara wresting with the fact that she had to banish Mon-El (Chris Wood) from Earth for his own protection.

"The decision I made, he couldn't have made that sacrifice," she said while images of Karamel's happier times flashed on screen. "But me, I couldn’t have lived with myself if I hadn't. I will always

Shows Like ‘Bro Science Life’ May Be Forging A New Path for Indie TV on YouTube
The below video of “Bro Science Life: The Series” isn’t just the almost 12-minute conclusion to Parts 1 and 2 of the original series, posted last week. It’s actually part of a pilot episode of television — one which was produced by Dany Garcia and Dwayne Johnson’s Seven Bucks Digital Studios for the purpose of seeking out third party distribution.

Bro Science Life,” created by Mike Tornabene and Gian Hunjan, is a comical take on gym rat culture that has a significant following, at least by the YouTube numbers: The BroScienceLife YouTube account currently has 1.9 million subscribers and almost 275 million views after four years of posting — meaning it has enough of an audience to make the concept of a series with its lead talent and unique sensibility at the forefront make sense. Starring Tornabene as gym owner/”Brofessor” Dom Mazzetti, the pilot tracks Dom trying to save his “gym-topia” with

Ranking All 17 Money in the Bank Cash-Ins From Worst to Best

Liam Hoofe takes a look at all 17 previous Money in the Bank cash-ins and ranks them from worst to best…

This Sunday night the WWE will crown their 18th Mr. Money in the Bank. Since the debut of the Money in the Bank ladder match at WrestleMania 21, the bout has given us 17 victors, 15 of which have gone on to win world titles- a good omen for whoever walks away the winner this Sunday night.

Ever since the first cash-in at New Year’s Revolution 2006, the WWE have tried to surprise fans and come up with different and innovative ways to deploy the gimmick, the majority of which have been successful.

Not all cash-ins are created equal however and some of them have not quite worked out as planned. With that in mind, let’s take a look back at each Money in the Bank cash in and rank them,

Trek to the Past – Star Trek: Tos Season One in Review

Star Trek is probably the most successful science fiction franchise of all time spanning six decades of science fiction storytelling. In the series, I will be looking at the highlights of all the past episodes from each season of all five TV shows that went before leading up to the new series Star Trek: Discovery that will be airing in the fall of 2017.

Star Trek: The Original Series – Season One

Original Broadcast: (September 8th 1966 – April 29th 1967)

Development

After a failed attempt at selling Star Trek to NBC with the pilot ‘The Cage’, starring Jeffrey Hunter as Captain Christopher Pike, NBC told Gene Roddenberry to film a second pilot with a more “action & adventure” orientated plot – which was unheard of at the time. Roddenberry complied and wrote two story outlines: one being ‘Mudd’s Women’ and the second being ‘The Omega Glory’ both of which were produced later on the series

WWE Backlash: The Five Best Matches in the Event’s History

In preparation for this Sunday’s event, Liam Hoofe takes a look back at the best matches in the history of WWE Backlash

The return of WWE Backlash last year was met with an enthusiastic response from the WWE Universe, and with good reason. The PPV, which traditionally followed on from WrestleMania, has given us some great shows since its birth in 1999. The PPV itself would often be a better wrestling event than WrestleMania in fact, with it effectively being a re-run of the card with all of the pomp and spectacle removed.

Needless to say, the show has given us many great matches and moments over the years as well. So to get you warmed up for this Sunday’s upcoming event, here is a look back at some of the best matches from the PPV’s history, and no, Shawn Michaels and God Vs The McMahons didn’t make the list.

Why WWE PPV builds suck… Jinder Mahal beats Aj Styles – WWE Smackdown Live, May 16, 2017 review

Oli Davis rounds up the biggest professional wrestling news in his daily WrestleTalk column…

Kevin Owens Highlight Reel

Kevin Owens isn’t just the new face of America. He’s also the new face of the Highlight Reel, heelishly stealing his former best friend Chris Jericho’s talk show segment. Smackdown then proceeded to do a different kind of International – the moveset name for wrestling’s most common opening sequence – with Ko talking in French and Jinder Mahal later interrupting to speak Punjabi; all a rather thinly veiled attempt to make the crowd chant USA! USA!

Owens seemed revitalised moving to Smackdown a month ago, viciously taking out Jericho and changing up his gimmick. But the suits and Face of America schtick is becoming trite. The overly violent, self-absorbed prizefighter character was never broken.

Jinder Mahal beat Aj Styles

The Highlight Reel soon became the night’s opening match, where

The Undertaker: a look at his 23-1 WrestleMania record

Gavin Jasper Apr 3, 2017

As the Undertaker announces his retirement, we look back at his Wrestlemania record...

This article is from Den Of Geek Us.

WrestleMania XXX was an eventful show. It calmed the fears of those afraid that it would crash the WWE Network and cause major damage to the company's latest venture. Cesaro broke away from his tag team and broke out by winning the Andre the Giant Memorial Trophy. Hulk Hogan, Steve Austin, and the Rock hung out in the ring and had a blast. Mr. T and Roddy Piper buried the hatchet. Daniel Bryan went through an endless supply of punishment before being defeating Triple H, Randy Orton, and Batista.

That was a big moment and a major story, but the thing people will be talking about for a long time is the end of Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar. For the first time ever, Undertaker lost at

Deadpool 2: Michael Shannon Emerges As Frontrunner To Play Cable

  • LRM Online
Here at Lrm we're kind of into Deadpool. Ryan Reynolds' sarcastic Merc with a Mouth jolted new life into the flagging superhero genre last year and anticipation for the sequel has grown exponentially over the last several months. The internet has been buzzing over the recent announcement of actress Zazie Beetz securing the role of mutant marksman Domino, but there's been far greater debate (and some crazy speculation) over who should portray the time-travelling super-soldier, Cable.

A list of plausible, potential actors has made the rounds, including Stranger Things' fearless sheriff David Harbour and Friday Night Lights alum Kyle Chandler; on the sligtly less-likely side, rumors include Brad Pitt, Dolph Lundgren, Ron Perlman, WWE's Adam Copeland (Edge), and even Charlize Theron; and yet, here's not been a clear frontrunner for the part.

Until today.

If you're unfamiliar with the character, Cable is the offspring of X-Men's Cyclops/Scott Summers

‘Dragons: Race to the Edge’: 6 Reasons the ‘How to Train Your Dragon’ Netflix Show Isn’t Just For Kids

DreamWorks Animation has established itself as a studio which consistently produces stunning animated films, and perhaps no more so than with its “How to Train Your Dragon” film series. The franchise boasts endlessly beautiful imagery, as well as incredibly lovable characters and intense action. All of these elements can be found in spades in the Netflix spinoff series “Race to the Edge,” as the show expands on these facets and digs deep into what makes the franchise so great.

As with most animated properties, the main demographic for the “Dragons” franchise is children. However, the creators of both the films and TV series have shown that this franchise isn’t exclusively for children; rather, it’s conveniently made accessible for children, while proving entertaining for older audiences as well. Whether you’re a fan of animation, the franchise, looking for a fun fantasy series to binge for a couple of weekends,

Kevin Owens’ shoot joke on Roman Reigns backstage, WWE Hall of Fame induction leaked…

I’ve always wondered what the actual wrestler atmosphere backstage is like in WWE. You know, apart from John Cena burying people, Chris Jericho starting fights and Sin Cara annoying everyone, how the wrestlers themselves actually talk about and discuss the creative decisions made for them by the company.

The occasional piece of frustration leaks out on Twitter, like when Summer Rae and Emmalina criticised Charlotte and Sasha Banks’ never ending feud last year, and when Rusev seemed to vent on the same few guys always getting the main event spots on Raw. But these are rare, because nobody wants to be wished well in their future endeavours. Or, even worse, enter a feud with Titus O’Neil.

Thanks to Xavier Woods’ UpUpDownDown channel, filmed in the wrestler’s natural habitat – the locker room – we have a glimpse into how several of WWE’s top stars talk about one of
