Kong Is King In These Four Intense New TV Spots For Kong: Skull Island

March may be one of the busiest movie months of the year (not to mention, one of the busiest months in recent memory) with the arrival of five major potential blockbusters: Logan, Kong: Skull Island, Beauty and the Beast, Power Rangers, and Ghost in the Shell.  Just moments ago, Skull Island star Samuel L. Jackson dropped an awesome new TV spot for the upcoming Jordan Vogt-Roberts-directed film giving us a pretty badass introduction to his character, Lieutenant Colonel Packard, who lovingly refers to himself as the cavalry. Also, thanks to Collider, we have a second TV spot with even more action-packed footage of the entire cast trying to understand and survive the King of Apes. Update: Star Tom Hiddleston has debuted his own TV spot featuring some background information on his character, Captain James Conrad. Intriguing Details On Tom Hiddleston's Kong: Skull Island Character Revealed

The hunter will become the hunted according to the latest Kong: Skull Island promo video. It seems the mysterious Monarch has records on Tom Hiddleston's Captain James Conrad. According to the short vid, Hiddleston is playing a former British Special Air Service who served with Australia's Special Forces during Vietnam and now operates as a hunter/tracker.  However, it appears that when Monarch sets him up to track down Kong (or whatever they're looking for on the uncharted Pacific island), the hunter will become the hunted. Directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts, the action/adventure flick is set in the ‘70s and centers on King Kong’s origins. Following a group of explorers who travel to an uncharted island, they soon find out that things aren’t quite as they appear. Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures announce that they will bring actor Tom Hiddleston front and center to the infamous Hall H at this year's San Diego Comic-Con International for "Kong: Skull Island." Hiddleston stars as Captain James Conrad who ventures into the mysterious Skull Island after a helicopter crash which leaves him and his platoon stranded searching for a way to get back home.

The film will fully immerse audiences in the mysterious and dangerous home of the king of the apes as a team of explorers ventures deep inside the treacherous, primordial island. Legendary’s story honors the foundations of existing King Kong lore, but places it in an entirely new, distinct timeline.

"Kong: Skull Island" is directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts and stars Hiddleston, John Goodman, Samuel L. Jackson, Brie Larson, Toby Kebbell and John C. Reilly.
