Miriam Colon was born on August 20, 1936 in Ponce, Puerto Rico as Miriam Colon Valle. She is known for her work on Scarface (1983), One Life to Live (1968) and Guiding Light (1952). She is married to Fred Valle.

Founder of the Puerto Rican Traveling Theater in New York City.
Has been in two movies with Marlon Brando, both Westerns, 'The Appaloosa (1966)' and 'One-Eyed Jacks (1961)'.
Despite playing a handicapped character on "Guiding Light," she does not use a wheelchair in real life.
Lifetime Member of the Actors' Studio.
Was a close and dear friend of legendary Cuban singer La Lupe. When she passed away, Colon provided a sizable amount of the funds needed to purchase her headstone.
She made guest appearances on both of the longest running prime time dramas in US television history: Gunsmoke (1955) and Law & Order (1990).
