William Collier Sr. was born on November 12, 1864 in New York City, New York, USA as William Morenus. He was an actor and writer, known for Cain and Mabel (1936), A Successful Failure (1934) and Madison Square Garden (1932). He was married to Paula Marr and Louise Allen. He died on January 13, 1944 in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, California, USA.

Step-father of actor William Collier Jr.
Ran away from home to join a touring company at age eleven. He went on to work with Eddie Foy in "Blue Beard Jr.", the Russell Comedians and Weber and Fields.
Collaborated with George M. Cohan on "Hello Broadway" and "Cotton Time".
Collier came to Hollywood with the Triangle Film organization working with Mack Sennett and Thomas H. Ince.
American stage actor, in Hollywood from 1929. Extensive appearances on Broadway between 1894 and 1927, invariably in musical comedy.
