Leerhsen falls for 'Crazy' indie pic

Erica Leerhsen has signed to star opposite Josh Hartnett and Radha Mitchell in the indie Crazy in Love for helmer Petter Naess and Millennium Films. The Ron Bass-penned project, formerly known as Mozart and the Whale, centers on a young couple (Hartnett and Mitchell) who have Asperger's syndrome, a kind of autism. Leerhsen (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre) will play a close friend to the couple who also is afflicted with the syndrome. Gary Cole, Sheila Kelly and John Carrol Lynch round out the cast. Robert Lawrence, Frank DeMartini and James Acheson are producing, with Avi Lerner, Danny Dimbort, Boaz Davidson, John Thompson and Trevor Short serving as executive producers. Crazy is a co-production with German fund Equity Pictures Media Fund. Leerhsen is repped by Endeavor and attorney Jamie Feldman. She also has appeared on the big screen in Woody Allen's Anything Else. »
