‘Travelers’ Season 2 Review: Come for the Time Travel Anarchy, but Stay for Enrico Colantoni’s Mysterious New Character

While “Travelers” first debuted on Netflix last year right before Christmas, it returns for its second season the day after, timed perfectly for the lull between Christmas and New Year’s. While the show has evolved some since the beginning, it still maintains its most satisfying qualities: an exploration of the human condition in all of its messy glory, and depictions of the most ingenious, yet disturbing means of time travel on screen.

A quick recap before diving into the new season: Operatives called Travelers from the future have been sent back to the 21st century in order to carry out various missions set out by the Director, in order to hopefully present the future calamities that are endangering the human race. The operative takes over the contemporary host body just seconds before that person is supposed to die and then takes over their life as a cover.

Galaxy Quest screenwriter discusses plans for Amazon’s TV series

Back in August it was reported that Amazon had revived its plans for a TV adaptation of the cult 1999 comedy Galaxy Quest, tapping writer, actor and comedian Paul Scheer (The Disaster Artist) to replace the film’s writer Robert Gordon on the script. And now, speaking to SlashFilm, Scheer has revealed some info on his plans for the show, stating that it will follow both the original characters from the movie as well as a new group of characters, with their two stories merging as the season progresses.

“The thing I keep on saying about it, without giving too much away – because it’s going to be so long before people get to see it, I don’t want people to get too burnt out on me telling you what it’s about before it gets to that point – but for me, it was really important to do service to

'Veronica Mars' Miniseries on the Way

  • Yidio
2017-10-26T06:40:02-07:00'Veronica Mars' Miniseries on the Way

You can arguably credit Kristen Bell and Veronica Mars for getting the whole TV revival mania started. Back in 2014, Bell and series creator Rob Thomas managed to get a Veronica Mars movie produced via crowdfunding and proved that audiences could be very enthusiastic about their old favorites. Now Bell promises that a miniseries-length revival is definitely on her to-do list, although it might be a long time before it happens.

Via Us Weekly.

Are you ready Marshmallows? Kristen Bell has revealed that Veronica Mars will most likely be coming back in some capacity.

During a Facebook live chat with IndieWire, costar Ryan Hansen took a break mid-interview to call Bell, 37, when asked about the show’s future.

“We are willing to put the effort in,” the A Bad Moms Christmas actress said. “I mean, if

Amazon’s Galaxy Quest TV series back on track with new writer

Having put its plans for a TV revival of the cult 1999 comedy Galaxy Quest on hold following the death of Alan Rickman, it seems that Amazon is once again turning its attention to the planned small screen series.

According to THR, writer, actor and comedian Paul Scheer (The Disaster Artist) has signed on to pen the script for the show, taking over from Robert Gordon, the writer of the original movie.

At this point, it is unclear whether Galaxy Quest director Dean Parisot remains on board, nor whether cast members such as Tim Allen, Sigourney WeaverTony Shalhoub, Sam Rockwell, Daryl Mitchell and Enrico Colantoni are set to return.

Galaxy Quest followed the cast of a defunct Star Trek-style TV show, who find themselves wrapped up in an intergalactic conflict when they are visited by aliens who believe the show to be a documentary.

Amazon is Moving Forward With Their Galaxy Quest Series and They've Hired a New Writer

Amazon Studios is once again moving forward with their Galaxy Quest TV series! This is great news because I've been really looking forward to seeing it since it was announced a couple years ago.

The streaming service has hired writer-actor-comedian Paul Scheer (The League) to write the script for the series, which is freakin' great! Scheer is a funny guy and I love his work on The League. Unfortunately, he will be replacing Robert Gordon, who was the writer of the original film.

The Amazon series is described as "a new take on the cult movie that starred Tim Allen, the late Alan Rickman as well as Sigourney Weaver." There's no word on if any of the original stars will return. Some of the other cast members included Tony Shalhoub, Sam Rockwell, Daryl Mitchell and Enrico Colantoni.

The classic 1999 film followed a group of washed-up TV actors who starred in

Madam Secretary Season 3 Episode 20 Review: Extraordinary Hazard

Jay's meeting went horribly awry on Madam Secretary Season 3 Episode 20, but since he's a main cast member, he was returned safe and sound and with intel to solve one of the major mysteries of the season. I guess it was too much for his experience to save his marriage too.

Maybe he should ask Henry and Elizabeth for some advice on that front -- they're certainly doing a good job of helping Jason with his girl problems. Even if they are slacking on the discipline at the same time.

If a plot takes several minutes of wrap up exposition by one of your characters to ensure that your audience followed along, it may be a touch too complicated.

And Jay still didn't explain how Brennan got ahold of the weapons in the first place. Even if he was just buying stolen weapons, Who Was His Contact? There's nothing I hate more than a plot hole,

'Bones' Says Goodbye After 12 Seasons: A Look Back at Brennan and Booth's 22 Best Episodes

'Bones' Says Goodbye After 12 Seasons: A Look Back at Brennan and Booth's 22 Best Episodes
Bones signs off on Tuesday, after 12 seasons of crime solving, evidence examining, blood, guts and, most importantly, bones. But at the core of the long-running Fox procedural -- the “heart of the matter,” if you will -- was a partnership between forensic anthropologist Temperance Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and FBI Special Agent Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz).

From their first episode together, Brennan and Booth’s dynamic was electric, and while the will-they-or-won’t-they of it all took nearly seven seasons to sort out (more if you count that they don’t actually tie the knot until season nine), their relationship kept fans hooked for all 245 episodes. We watched Brennan wrestle with her feelings as Booth looked for love, saw them lay it all on the line only to yank it back again, and finally, at long last, got to witness their happy ending. Two kids and countless hurdles later, they’re still going strong.

So, as we

Madam Secretary Season 3 Episode 17 Review: Convergence

  • TVfanatic
The title for Madam Secretary Season 3 Episode 17, "Convergence," couldn't have been more on the nose. We don't usually spend a lot of time talking about titles, but they're usually a little more enigmatic then this.

The long running arcs finally started to fit together, and thank god we don't have to have another tease about Henry worrying about Ian. Personally, I don't care if we never see him again now that the whole point of the religious cult storyline is clear.

Okay, it was clear before. I've been saying for a while that this is where it was headed, and while it's always nice to be about to say "I told you so," I was so tired of waiting for things to resolve.

Drawing out obvious plots is like enduring bad dental work. Why would the writers inflict that upon fans?

Let's all try to come up with ideas for

Review: Justice League Dark

  • Comicmix
The concept of the DC Comics’ mystical characters gathering to combat occult evil always sounds good but of course, execution is everything. When it was done sparingly, as in Swamp Thing #50, it was quite effective. As an ongoing series, it proved tough to manage since each player was plucked from a title that had a fairly unique look and feel.

That said, the newly released animated Justice League Dark film is incredibly entertaining and certainly a cut above the last half-dozen releases. From a story by Jld writer J.M. DeMatteis and Ernie Altbacker, Altbacker’s script shifts the super-heroic DC Universe to supernatural threats that Superman (Jerry O’Connell), Wonder Woman (Rosario Dawson), Green Lantern (Roger Cross) and the others are less equipped to handle. Altbacker is no stranger to heroes and magicians with credits including Spooksville and Green Lantern: The Animated Series and he does a fine job weaving the various threads.

Two New Justice League Dark Clips Highlight Batman And Constantine

The two clips below from Justice League Dark see Etrigan make short work of the Demon's Three and Batman having a pretty unusual post-workout shave. While Etrigan is taking care of his demonic brethren, Constantine appears to be stealing...cash?
