Former colleagues of Alan Thicke took to social media to pay tribute to the Growing Pains legend, who died of a heart attack Tuesday at the age of 69.

Joanna Kerns, who played Thicke’s wife Maggie Seaver for seven seasons on Growing Pains, called Thicke “one of the smartest and funniest men I have ever known” in a tweet to actor Daniel Franzese:

The world of reality television obviously makes for some strange combinations, but admitting to being a horrible cook, and being a celebrity, makes for one of the more interesting ones to watch.

Anne Burrell and Rachael Ray are taking a shot at teaching some celebrities to avoid poisoning people, and it’s all for charity.

The Worst Cooks format is strange enough, as the franchise has thus far managed some bizarre concoctions, and with questionable overall results, but when you throw in a group of celebrities, it’s actually a lot more interesting than the standard version of the show. You not only have to agree to be on the show to admit that you are truly awful as a cook, but you also have to be a celebrity willing to show up.
