Her father worked for Aramco Oil and she lived in Saudi Arabia for five years as a child. During those years, she travelled the world on holidays (Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Egypt, Switzerland, etc.) and when her father spent extended periods of time on assignment outside of the Kingdom (Holland). She did not go to an American school in the USA until she went to Jr. high.
