Dennis Leary Headlines 'Rescue Me Comedy Tour' In South Florida

27 April 2009 2:58 PM, PDT | From icelebz.com | See recent iCelebz news

Dennis Leary has provided fans with outrageous comedy routines for over 20 years. Leary is a Golden Globe and Emmy Award-nominated actor, comedian, writer and director whose rants have entertained audiences since his days working the Boston comedy-club circuit in the 1980's.

His angry comedic style takes jabs at everyone from Hollywood's elite to common people in the news. Leary's Rescue Me Comedy Tour - inspired by the FX series of the same name in its fifth season - made a stop at the Seminole Hard Rock, Hollywood, Fl Sunday night.

He last toured in 1997 and stared in a smash hit one man show, No Cure For Cancer, which became the highest grossing comedy album of all time.

The 51-year old performed to a packed house along with comedians Adam Ferrara, Lenny Clarke and Mike DeStefano.

10 April 2009 11:09 AM, PDT | From Tubefilter.tv | See recent Tubefilter News news

A Priest, A Rabbi and A Minister, the new animated comedy starring Lenny Clarke as the Priest (Rescue Me), Larry Miller as the Rabbi (Pretty Woman, The Nutty Professor, Law and Order, and Mad About You) and Adam Carolla as the Minster, premiered on Crackle.com today. Hold on to your prayers books and pray for redemption because after you watch Crackle’s new show, you might feel a little dirty. The show is the brainchild of actor-comedian Larry Miller, who wrote the script and recruited Adam Carolla and Lenny Clarke to be in it with him. Miller set the scene in a dive bar and gave the characters permission to tell some truly scandalous stories. Fans of religious jokes and blue humor have found their dream show.

7 April 2009 8:51 AM, PDT | From HollywoodChicago.com | See recent HollywoodChicago.com news

Television Rating: 3.5/5.0 Chicago – Denis Leary, Peter Tolan, and Evan Reilly were forced to take a lot of time between “Rescue Me” seasons due to the writer’s strike but they’re back with an amazing 22-episode season planned for FX starting tonight, April 7th, 2009 at 9pm Cst. Seamlessly picking up where we left off, “Rescue Me” continues to entertain and maintain its tricky balance between goofy comedy and deadly serious subjects.

Not much has changed for Tommy Gavin (Leary). He’s still dealing with the ghosts of 9/11, still trying to keep his job on the 62 Truck, still battling alcoholism, still barely keeping his fragile relationships with his family together, and still dealing with crazy ex-girlfriends.

FX has been making hay with the comedy/press junket concert to promote the show .Rescue Me,. featuring star Denis Leary, with special guests Adam Ferrara, Lenny Clarke and Nick Dipaolo. Technically that would be Dr. Denis Leary, the executive producer and star of the rollicking FX series that is a huge hit with real firefighters all over for its realism and pitch-perfect button pushing and humor. Leary was given an Honorary Doctorate of Fine Arts from his alma mater Emerson College, in Boston, Massachusetts. The guys entertained the crowd last night (April 4) at the Nokia theater in Los Angeles, accompanied by a great band, lots of snippets of the new season and Leary.s own photo slide
