Film Review: ‘I Am I’

Film Review: ‘I Am I’
I Am I” is a middling dramedy starring writer-director Jocelyn Towne as a woman who discovers that her long-lost biological father is not only living nearby, but also in an amnesia-induced past where he insists she is her own recently deceased mother. This potentially intriguing concept is given disappointingly bland, flat treatment in the Kickstarter-funded project, in which Towne brings professionalism but little personality to both her on- and offcamera roles. Dwayne Johnson Out For Revenge In ‘Faster’ Rampage Trailer

Today’s Daily Distraction features Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson kicking all kinds of ass. Similar to the viral trailer for The Expendables, this shows exactly what we want from the film. Directed by George Tillman, Jr. the action flick also stars Billy Bob Thornton, Maggie Grace, Carla Gugino, Tom Berenger, Josh Clark, Moon Bloodgood, and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje. The rampage trailer is from Movieweb and as a bonus, you can also check out a new interactive trailer from the film over at Yahoo.

Synopsis: After 10 years in prison, Driver has a singular focus – to avenge the murder of his brother during the botched bank robbery that led to his imprisonment.

The Playlist also had a sneak peek at the soundtrack by Darren Aronofsky collaborator Clint Mansell, and they enjoyed it. The film seems like a nice throwback and a welcome return for Dwayne Johnson.
