Nico Cinocco
- Camera and Electrical Department
While still in high school, Nico produced and directed three silent stop-motion short films using a Super8 camera found in the family garage.
While serving in the Navy on an aircraft carrier that had a full video production suite, Nico wrote and produced several PSA-style shorts.
After the service, went home to the Los Angeles area and freelanced around Hollywood for a couple of years while going to school. He was involved at various levels of production on concerts and talk shows for local cable/public access channels, basketball games for the local colleges and internships at local radio and TV stations. Graduated from CSU Fullerton with BA in Communications (Radio/TV/Film). Did the Hollywood Film School too but not being connected or financially independent, eventually had to abandon the effort to support his family.
Before the world wide web and imdb existed, naively used his real name on the first couple of unpaid independent films he worked on where they now live on in digital infamy and usually top the search engine lists when searching on his name. Which is probably how you came to be reading this trite confession. All of the later work on commercials and pilots and feature films don't credit or have a different name. Please think kindly of a young man trying to break into film production and the choices of work without knowing anyone in the industry.
Having a strong affinity with computers since HS, learned digital editing software but eventually ended up working in computer technical jobs and as a consultant. Paid regularly and much better than pickup gigs. Moved to Oklahoma in 2005 (family thing), he is now focused more on writing, although with the recent increased interest in VR there been a lot of discussion regarding the production of some Mixed Reality projects.
