Channel 4 has commissioned a comedy about the upcoming referendum on Scottish Independence.
The Comedy Unit will produce the one-off special, which has the working title Scotland in a Day, for the channel.
The comedy will have a self-shot mockumentary-feel, and will be set on the day of the Scottish Independence referendum. It will "take a snapshot of a nation on the brink of both triumph and disaster".
Rab Christie, Managing Director of The Comedy Unit, said: "Many of the characters and sketches are themed around the referendum, others are simply going about their business one day in September.
"Hopefully it'll be a very funny show, and a celebration of Scottish talent."
Scotland in a Day is written by Jack Docherty and contributing writers. The special was commissioned by Channel 4's Commissioning Editor Rachel Springett.
