Who doesn’t love Star Wars? Towering giants of blockbuster cinema, the Original Trilogy revolutionised the entire industry and has gone on to define the childhoods of multiple generations. But beyond that, they’re just great movies. Epic is scale and a hell of a lot of fun, few other films can compete on sheer entertainment factor. Heck, the franchise is so strong that everyone can look past the prequels to get excited for the imminent release of The Force Awakens. Yeah, everyone loves Star Wars
And yet most people haven’t actually seen Star Wars. Well, at least not in its original, medium redefining form (and those who have probably haven’t in decades). Since as early as 1980, George Lucas was tampering with his movies set in that galaxy far, far away, adding subtitles, swapping out lines of dialogue and coating his practical masterpieces with a good dose of CGI. »

Hayden Christensen is loving fatherhood! The actor stopped by E! News recently to promote his new movie 90 Minutes in Heaven, and he couldn't help but open up about his real-life leading lady: his daughter, Briar Rose. "I have this little angel in my life now, and Rachel and I are both so thrilled. We don't sleep as much as we use to, but it's all worth it." Hayden's interview comes less than two weeks after Rachel shared a glimpse of Briar with an adorable Instagram photo. "There's a Disney reference there, I suppose," Christensen said. "The original Sleeping Beauty was called Briar Rose."
When asked whether it was him or Bilson who fell in the love with the name, Christensen revealed they are both big Disney fans.
He said: "We both love all things Disney - but Rachel especially was very keen on the name.
"We have Disney songs playing around the house 24/7 right now."
Christensen soon stars in 90 Minutes In Heaven as a man who is pronounced dead after a car crash, only to come back to life an hour and a half later.

As 9-month-old Briar Rose Christensen closes in on her first birthday, the baby girl’s famous mom, Rachel Bilson, shared the first Instagram photo of the tot … well, kinda. The Hart of Dixie actress, 33, posted an adorable shot of her fiance, Hayden Christensen, blowing bubbles with their daughter while sitting outside, with the back of the little girl’s head visible. We finally get our first glimpse of Briar Rose! Rachel Bilson and Hayden Christensen welcomed their first child together back in October, and although the private stars would share cute pictures of their little girl's outfits and killer shoes from time to time, they hadn't posted an actual picture of Briar. Until now, that is. Bilson, who decided to get an Instagram after entering motherhood, took to the social media site to share an adorable photo of their daughter spending quality time with her famous dad. Of course, the actress kept the mystery alive by posting a captionless photograph that only shows the back of her baby girl's head and teeny-tiny fingers. But hey, baby steps (no pun »
The Holy Grail for Star Wars fans is a HD restoration of the original prints of the classic trilogy. Ever since 1980 (when Lucas added the Episode IV: A New Hope subtitle to Star Wars) audiences have had to watch slightly bastardised versions of the iconic movies, and it’s only got worse – since 1997 we’ve had to suffer through a bunch of unnecessary, CGI augmented changes that, while not ruining the films, present a less pure experience.
In 2006, a set of purportedly unedited DVDs was released, but as these came from Laserdisc prints their quality was incredibly substandard to the more widely available Special Editions. It was like the fans had been thrown a bone, rather than being given the full Krayt Dragon they wanted.
I’ve been hoping that, with us on the brink of all out Star Wars mania, that Disney would turn around and surprise us »

Rachel Bilson, we've missed you! The "Hart of Dixie" star stepped out for a rare outing in Los Angeles on Sunday. Sporting a purple paisley Ulla Johnson sundress and brown flat sandals, the actress put her cool California style on display as she held onto a hand full of gifts. The brunette beauty shaded her eyes with a pair of chic brown sunglasses and wore her hair in a high bun. The "O.C." alum has been keeping a low profile since she welcomed daughter Briar Rose back in November. Bilson and fiance Hayden Christensen named her after the Disney classic "Sleeping Beauty." Briar Rose, of course, was Princess Aurora's pseudonym in the fairy tale. While we haven't gotten to see a glimpse of baby Briar yet, the actress recently gushed about her longtime beau in Health magazine. "He's so incredibly supportive and considerate," she said last year. "It's so basic—that should be there. »

Everyone hates Jar Jar Binks. There’s a spectrum of dislike for the Star Wars prequels (I can’t jump on the bandwagon as readily as many fans), but everyone can agree that George Lucas’ “key” to The Phantom Menace was an unmitigated disaster, a low-point in a saga that includes Hayden Christensen talking about sand and Bea Arthur singing while Wookie’s have untranslated grunting conversations. But he was almost much worse.
The annals of film “What ifs?” are filled with musicians that wanted to play now-iconic characters, but this one blows them out of the water. Jar Jar Binks was almost played by… Michael Jackson. Michael Jackson! Seriously – the bonafide legend petitioned George Lucas to play Star Wars first (and hopefully last) totally comic relief character.
According to Ahmed Best, the man who ultimately brought Jar Jar to life, talking in a recent interview with Vice, Jackson »

Plot: An ex-con (Hayden Christensen) is pulled into a dangerous heist by his estranged brother (Adrien Brody) . who.s just out of prison and owes the mob boss (Tory Kittles) orchestrating the job a debt he can.t repay. Review: American Heist is awfully low-rent for a movie that played at the Toronto International Film Festival. Maybe the names attached gave the film a certain cachet but having finally seen it... Rachel Bilson might be new(ish) to Instagram, but Hayden Christensen's love has already perfected the filtered-just-right kissing selfie! The former Hart of Dixie star, 33, Instagrammed the lovey-dovey shot Thursday, captioning it with an emoji of a heart with an arrow through it. The comments, not surprisingly, were different variations of "Ahhhhhhh!!! Awwwww!!!!" and "Omgggg!!!" and, "This screams goals to me." Told you Rachel had some solid social media game! Earlier this week, Briar Rose's mama shared a #NoFilter pic of a sunset (if you don't Instagram it, did it even happen?), and she showcased her 8-month-old daughter's precious Fourth of July outfit, too! Summer Roberts is loving summer! Rachel Bilson kissed her boyfriend, Hayden Christensen, in a rare Instagram photo on Thursday, July 16, and the result is, well, perfection. They sweetly kissed on the lips in front of a gorgeous outdoor backdrop. Us Weekly broke the news in November 2014 that the O.C. alum and Christensen welcomed their first child together, daughter [...] »

If you thought faith-based movies were just a brief trend, movies attended by a niche audience outside the mainstream, guess again. Hollywood has seen the light are big stars are starting to gravitate towards films with a wholesome message, and this fall will bring two of them. Kate Mara and David Oyelowo are the starry window dressing on the forthcoming "Captive," and now there's "90 Minutes In Heaven," which features Hayden Christensen and Kate Bosworth, and perhaps most surprisingly, Michael Polish at the helm. Indie fans will recall that Polish was one half of the sibling filmmaking team that made waves with "Twin Falls Idaho" and "Northfork," before striking out on his own, delivering recent, very distinctive and lo-fi movies with "For Lovers Only" and the (very underrated) "Big Sur." Anyway, he's doing...this...which is based on a book which is apparently a true story, if you believe in this sort of thing. »
