His Chinese wife, Eileen Loh, was a schoolteacher. They had a daughter named Molly. Her name was inspired from a line he had in the MGM musical Easter Parade (1948). Towards the end of the film Peter, playing Fred Astaire's valet, pulls a white rabbit out of a hat box and calls it "Molly". See more »
