Justin Chatwin is an actor, known for playing Tom Cruise's character's son in War of the Worlds (2005). Successfully starred in his first American miniseries, Traffic (2004), followed by the movies Taking Lives (2004), The Invisible (2007), and The Chumscrubber (2005). He also had appearances in the episodic series Smallville (2001) , Lost (2004), and Weeds (2005).

Justin was born in Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada, to Suzanne, an artist and documentary filmmaker, and Brian Chatwin, an engineer. Justin has two sisters, Brieanne and Claire. His hobbies are camping and sports, and listening to Arcade Fire. He was once an avid snowboarder and was living in Vancouver to practice and attend university. He studied commerce at the University of British Columbia and, until 2009, lived in a small apartment in Los Angeles.

I just want to do shows because you get to see, over all the seasons, the person grow, and you get to grow with the character. That transformation, for me, is what I love about my job. I get to learn about myself and challenge myself and grow with the character. For me, it's a whole process of learning and growing.
