We cannot get enough of Jade St. John (Christina Aguilera) on Nashville! As soon as it was announced that The Voice coach was heading to the ABC southern soap for a three-episode arc, we knew we were in for a real treat. But we had no idea that we would fall head-over-heels for the pop star/aspiring country music star so quickly! And now that her final Nashville episode is looming on the horizon (This Wednesday? Nooo!), we're already dreading having to say goodbye, especially since she just spent the night with Luke Wheeler (Will Chase) and inspired such confidence in Layla Grant (Aubrey Peeples), fear in Jeff Fordham (Oliver Hudson) and rage in Juliette Barnes (Hayden Panettiere). A girl with that kind »

Deyna fans — that is, those who want Nashville‘s Deacon and Rayna to get over it already and get together — came one step closer to their goal with Wednesday’s packed midseason premiere.
Among other developments, the hour saw the aftermath of the death of Rayna and Luke’s romance, which came to a definitive end when she called off their wedding in the previous episode.
“I may have overreacted a little,” star Will Chase jokes, in character, about Luke’s response — driving a pickup through the wedding cake, turning the reception into a screw-you concert — to getting jilted.
When last we saw the characters of Nashville, love was distinctly not in the air in Music City. Rayna Jaymes (Connie Britton) had just jilted fiancé Luke Wheeler (Will Chase), Layla Grant (Aubrey Peeples) was floating face-down in a pool and Will Lexington (Chris Carmack) continued to struggle with being gay, sleeping with anything with breasts to try to prove he isn't. With the show returning Wednesday (on ABC at 10 p.m. Et) after its long winter hiatus, a little romance seems overdue, so People asked cast members to share their dream guest-star hook-ups - all for the sake of their characters, »

When Nashville viewers last saw Rayna Jaymes (Connie Britton), she was driving away from having called off her wedding to fellow country music superstar Luke Wheeler (Will Chase). While she looked like she was at peace with her decision, just minutes later she was sobbing in her car as she removed her engagement ring. When ABC's country music drama returns on Wednesday from its two-month hiatus, Rayna will continue to sort out her feelings for Luke and Deacon (Charles Esten). Bad news: Pete, Sadie’s violent ex who decked the singer/songwriter in Nashville‘s midseason finale, did not somehow spontaneously burst into flames during the ABC series’ January hiatus.
Good news: Laura Benanti, who plays the newest Highway 65 artist, says her character will refuse to be anyone’s punching bag… though it may take her a few episodes to get there.
“She was in an abusive relationship as a younger person, and had the courage to leave that relationship and have a really meaningful life and success,” Benanti tells TVLine in advance of the series’ winter premiere (Wednesday »
When we last saw Nashville's foremost love triangle, Rayna James (Connie Britton) opted to break her cycle of dysfunctional relationships. Unfortunately for fiancé Luke Wheeler (Will Chase), that also meant breaking off their engagement. In an exclusive clip from the Music City soap's winter premiere on Wednesday, Luke pays a visit to Rayna's ex Deacon Claybourne (Charles Esten). Given the longstanding rivalry between the two men, it's just a matter of moments before things get physical. Actually, seconds: 26 to be precise. After Rayna jilted him, Luke took his anger out on several reception chairs. But his reaction to Deacon's claim »
