Babymaking with Olivia Munn in Babymakers Red Band
Sorry, readersm trailer removed by request.
If you weren’t previously a fan of actress Olivia Munn, this latest Red Band trailer for her upcoming film, Babymakers, may just have you singing a brand new tune. Hey, just don’t say we didn’t warn you that this one was a Red Band trailer! As you can imagine, there will be baby-making in the film, and then some.
In the film, a 31-year-old Munn shares the screen with Parks & Recreation actor Paul Schneider. Babymakers is a comedy that reveals just how far one couple will go in order to conceive a child. Yes, they’ll even try ripping off a sperm bank, with a little help from their friends, of course. That’s not the type of undertaking you want to tackle all alone. The film is scheduled for a 2013 release.
Jay Chandrasekhar directs the film. »

Well, this sure sounds interesting. And looks, as well. We have the first red band trailer for the upcoming The Babymakers comedy, which will probably open sometime in 2013. When exactly – we will let you know. At this moment you should just check the trailer and let us know what you think! Believe it [...]
Jay Chandrasekhar and all of the Broken Lizard guys are complete geniuses, and whilst The Babymakers may not be an official Broken Lizard film, written instead by the writing team of Peter Gaulke and Gerry Swallow (Ice Age: The Meltdown), the film looks like another brilliant one starring the comedy team.
Directed by Chandrasekhar, The Babymakers is led by Paul Schneider (Lars and the Real Girl) and Olivia Munn (Soderbergh’s upcoming Magic Mike), with all of the Broken Lizard guys – Chandrasekhar, Kevin Hofferman, Paul Soter, Steve Lemme, and Erik Stolhanske – filling out the supporting cast, along with some other Broken Lizard regulars.
The first red band trailer has hit the net, via Collider and Film School Rejects, and it is pretty damn awesome. Schneider and Munn star as a couple trying and failing to get pregnant when they discover Schneider’s swimmers are a little on the slow side. »

The first trailer for director Jay Chandrasekhar’s (Super Troopers, Beerfest) comedy The Babymakers has arrived in the form of an extended Nsfw look at the film. The movie centers on a young married couple who is having trouble conceiving a child. They decide the only way to have kids is to break into a sperm bank in order to retrieve the specimen the husband donated as a young man. Paul Schneider (Lars and the Real Girl) stars as the husband and Olivia Munn plays his wife. While I quite enjoyed Chandrasekhar’s previous Broken Lizard entries, this trailer is painfully unfunny. They’re basically making the same dick jokes for over three minutes and I couldn’t even crack a smile. Hit the jump to watch the trailer. Written by Peter Gaulke and Gerry Swallow (Ice Age: The Meltdown), the film also features quite a few Broken Lizard regulars »

In a weird way, it seems appropriate that the first footage from Jay Chandrasekar's The Babymakers would leak over the holidays. After all, the season is about family, and this film is ostensibly about starting a family. Of course, this being a film from the guy who directed Beerfest, what it really ends up being about is a lot of semen jokes. Hooray. Olivia Munn and Paul Schneider star as a married couple who want to start a family but are having trouble conceiving. When the husband learns that it's because he is infertile, he enlists his friends and an Indian mob hitman (Chandrasekar) to help him break into a sperm bank and steal back a deposit he made years ago. This seems to be a rough cut of a promotional trailer rather than a finished theatrical trailer, so keep that in mind as you make your judgment. Watch the Nsfw trailer after the jump. »

If you woke up this morning and felt you needed to see a trailer frothing over with semen jokes, it’s as if the planets have aligned to tell you that you need more therapy and that the redband trailer for Babymakers has poked its little head out onto the internet. This is the Broken Lizard movie that isn’t a Broken Lizard movie. Instead of the gang from Beerfest trying to impregnate everyone, it stars Olivia Munn and Paul Schneider (Away We Go, Lars and the Real Girl) as a couple who have trouble conceiving. Fortunately, Schneider’s character donated a bunch of great sperm years ago. Unfortunately, it’s all gone, so he has to try to steal some of it back. Good old Kevin “Farva” Heffernan is on board as the sidekick, and Jay Chandrasekhar is directing and playing an Indian mafia killer (complete with genuine Indian accent!). As »

Broken Lizard has unveiled the trailer for their upcoming comedy "The Babymakers," starring Olivia Munn, Paul Schneider and the Broken Lizard troupe. Check it out below. Plot: After failing to get his wife (Munn) pregnant, a now infertile guy (Schneider) recruits his pals to steal back the deposit he left at a sperm bank years ago. "The Babymakers" is directed by Jay Chandrasekhar (Super Troopers, Club Dread, The Dukes of Hazzard). A distributor has yet to acquire the film. Removed by the studio. »
After their flop The Slammin’ Salmon, the comedy troupe Broken Lizard (behind Super Troopers and Beerfest) are back with a new film. The Babymakers is directed by Jay Chandrasekhar and with a promo red band trailer arriving today, it actually looks like it could be a return to form. The highlight for me is seeing Paul Schneider nab a lead comedy role, after loving him in everything from early David Gordon Green films (George Washington, All the Real Girls) to other dramas (Bright Star, The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, Away We Go) to having success on prime-time TV with Parks and Recreations.
He is joined by TV personality Olivia Munn, which I haven’t been impressed with, but hopefully this and her role in Steven Soderbergh‘s Magic Mike this summer will change by mind. They play a couple who needs some working sperm to have a baby, »

"I'm shooting good stuff, and I know this." An early promo trailer has leaked online from YouTube for an upcoming film featuring the Broken Lizard troupe called The Babymakers. As much as I've loved their films in past, Broken Lizard seems to have devolved into an unfunny group of straight-to-dvd filmmakers, but I still hope they make a good comedy again. The Babymakers stars Olivia Munn and Paul Schneider as husband and wife trying to have a baby. This is a rough promo trailer that doesn't represent the finished film, but as our first real look at this upcoming comedy starring Munn, I wanted to feature it today anyway. Watch the first promo trailer for Jay Chandrasekhar's The Babymakers, originally via YouTube: Update: Be aware that this is only a very unfinished, rough cut of a promotional/sales trailer. After failing to get his wife (Olivia Munn) pregnant, a »

'Dark Circles' isn't a new horror about a murderous insomniac whose only distinctive feature are bags under his eyes but instead it's Paul Soter's new horror flick. Soter is one of those crazy members of the comedy troupe Broken Lizard ('Super Troopers', 'Beerfest', 'Club Dread') and will helm the project from his own script. Bloody Disgusting caught up with Soter recently in a new interview ,available at the link below, in which he states the movie will be 'pure horror thriller'. Johnathon Schaech ('ChromeSkull: Laid to Rest 2'), the sexy Pell James -below ('Zodiac'), Philippe Brenninkmeyer, Andrea Frankle, Jennifer Foreman and Michael Patrick Rogers are all on board as cast members and the movie has just wrapped post-production. Check out the plot deets below and make sure you head on over to Bd at the link to read the full interview. »
If youve seen any of the Broken Lizard movies then youre certainly familiar with Paul Soter, a key member of the group who not only performs in films like Beerfest, Super Troopers, The Slammin Salmon and their horror-comedy Club Dread but helps shape their material as a writer as well. While Broken Lizard is still alive and well, Soter has now decided to step out on his own every now and then with the express purpose of wading deep into one of his favorite genres - horror. I caught up with Soter a few weeks ago to talk about his transition into a new genre and what real-life events inspired him to write and direct his first full-on horror feature, Dark Circles, starring Pell James (The Lincoln Lawyer, Zodiac) and Jonathan Schaech (The Doom Generation, Prom Night,Quarantine). »
Up All Night continues its first season on NBC with Episode 1.08: First Night Away, which airs Wednesday, November 9 at 8 Pm Et. This episode features guest star Jason Lee, who recently held a conference call to discuss the show. Here's what he had to say below.
How did your cameo on Up All Night come about?
Jason Lee: Well, you know, they just reached out to me, and of course, I was very excited -- great cast and great show. I had seen it, and it was good to be back on TV. Memphis Beat got canceled, and, you know, it had been a while since I had done any kind of comedy on television, so it was really, really cool to come back and work on a great show. And so, they keep having me back, »

Christmas comes early when your favorite stoners return to theaters to do box office battle with Brett Ratner’s latest wanna-be blockbuster and an indie thriller with as much angst and star power.
Craving some crazy action-comedy?
Delhi Belly (2011) This blisteringly funny feature is like Guy Ritchie by way of Bollywood. But don’t fret those-who-fear-subtitles. Most of this flick is in English. Tashi, Nitin and Arup are three roommates who haven’t quite figured out adulthood. They »

Paul Soter ('Club Dread', 'Super Troopers'), one of the members of the Broken Lizard comedy team, has been tapped to helm new horror 'Dark Circles'. The new flick is the first announced horror installment for the 2012 set of After Dark Originals. Johnathon Schaech ('ChromeSkull: Laid to Rest 2'), the sexy Pell James -below ('Zodiac'), Philippe Brenninkmeyer, Andrea Frankle, Jennifer Foreman and Michael Patrick Rogers are all set to star in . Check out the plot details below. »
I adore Club Dread. For my money, it's one of the few slasher films of the 2000s that really 'got' the subgenre and knew exactly how to operate within it. That it also happened to be a hilarious comedy was nothing but a big bonus.
That film's co-writer and star, Paul Soter (he of Broken Lizard), is set to direct Dark Circles, a supernatural flick from After Dark Originals. The film stars Jonathan Schaech (Prom Night remake), Philippe Brenninkmeyer and Andrea Frankle.
When new parents Alex and Penny retreat from the city and move into a place outside town, the stress and massive sleep-deprivation caused by their infant has both of them seeing things in the house that may or may not exist. Persistent sightings of a strange woman have each of them wondering if they are suffering from hallucinations or if their new home holds a dark, supernatural presence. »

From After Dark comes Dark Circles, which comes from Club Dread's Paul Soter, one of the best parts of the Broken Lizard comedy troop (he's also starred in Super Troopers and Beerfest)! Pell James (Surveillance, Zodiac), Jonathan Schaech (Prom Night, ChromeSkull: Laid to Rest 2, Quarantine, Laid to Rest), Philippe Brenninkmeyer, Andrea Frankle and Michael Patrick Rogers all star. "Urbanites Alex and Penny escape their stuffy city life to raise their newborn in the country. Instead, they find their spacious farmhome harbors horrors that threaten their relationship, imperil their son, and drive them to acts that neither believed they were capable of, but both are powerless to stop." »
NBC has bought Kept Men, a multi-camera comedy from writers-actors Kevin Heffernan and Steve Lemme, members of the Broken Lizard comedy filmmaking group behind such movies as Super Troopers and Beerfest. Heffernan and Lemme will write the project, which tells he story of two friends who become supported by their respective wives after their business closes down. They also will executive produce with 3 Arts. Apa-repped Heffernan and UTA-repped Lemme just wrapped photography on The Babymakers with Olivia Munn and Paul Schneider. Additionally, NBC is developing a U.S. version of the Australian black comedy series Laid, from BermanBraun. Ali Rushfield (Help Me Help You) will write the script for the project, which was brought to NBC and BermanBraun by Jeremy Fox and Kary Mchoul of Digital Rights Group. It centers on a woman whose ex-boyfriends/one-night stands start dying under suspicious circumstances, prompting her to launch an investigation with her »

This weekend can be simply described in two words: Arrested Development. News of a possible fourth season of the brilliant comedic sitcom, followed by the long rumored movie, dominated social media on Sunday as everyone expressed their excitement. Read all the details about that here . The news broke at a New Yorker sponsored reunion of the show which included not only show creator Mitchell Hurwitz and executive producer Ron Howard (via speaker phone) but most of the show's primary cast: Will Arnett, Jason Bateman, Michael Cera, David Cross, Portia de Rossi, Tony Hale, Alia Shawkat, Jeffrey Tambor and Jessica Walter. And as exciting as news of more Arrested Development is, it was only a sliver of a much bigger event. Now, thanks to the magic of the Internet, you can watch the entire thing for free.
