Babymaking with Olivia Munn in Babymakers Red Band

Sorry, readersm trailer removed by request.

If you weren’t previously a fan of actress Olivia Munn, this latest Red Band trailer for her upcoming film, Babymakers, may just have you singing a brand new tune. Hey, just don’t say we didn’t warn you that this one was a Red Band trailer! As you can imagine, there will be baby-making in the film, and then some.

In the film, a 31-year-old Munn shares the screen with Parks & Recreation actor Paul Schneider. Babymakers is a comedy that reveals just how far one couple will go in order to conceive a child. Yes, they’ll even try ripping off a sperm bank, with a little help from their friends, of course. That’s not the type of undertaking you want to tackle all alone. The film is scheduled for a 2013 release.

Jay Chandrasekhar directs the film. »

Brilliant First Red Band Trailer For Jay Chandrasekhar’s The Babymakers Kicks Off With A Lot Of Love

27 December 2011 4:00 AM, PST | HeyUGuys.co.uk | See recent HeyUGuys news »

Jay Chandrasekhar and all of the Broken Lizard guys are complete geniuses, and whilst The Babymakers may not be an official Broken Lizard film, written instead by the writing team of Peter Gaulke and Gerry Swallow (Ice Age: The Meltdown), the film looks like another brilliant one starring the comedy team.

Directed by Chandrasekhar, The Babymakers is led by Paul Schneider (Lars and the Real Girl) and Olivia Munn (Soderbergh’s upcoming Magic Mike), with all of the Broken Lizard guys – Chandrasekhar, Kevin Hofferman, Paul Soter, Steve Lemme, and Erik Stolhanske – filling out the supporting cast, along with some other Broken Lizard regulars.

The first red band trailer has hit the net, via Collider and Film School Rejects, and it is pretty damn awesome. Schneider and Munn star as a couple trying and failing to get pregnant when they discover Schneider’s swimmers are a little on the slow side. »

First Red Band Trailer for Jay Chandrasekhar’s Comedy The Babymakers Starring Olivia Munn

26 December 2011 2:23 PM, PST | Collider.com | See recent Collider.com news »

The first trailer for director Jay Chandrasekhar’s (Super Troopers, Beerfest) comedy The Babymakers has arrived in the form of an extended Nsfw look at the film.  The movie centers on a young married couple who is having trouble conceiving a child. They decide the only way to have kids is to break into a sperm bank in order to retrieve the specimen the husband donated as a young man. Paul Schneider (Lars and the Real Girl) stars as the husband and Olivia Munn plays his wife. While I quite enjoyed Chandrasekhar’s previous Broken Lizard entries, this trailer is painfully unfunny. They’re basically making the same dick jokes for over three minutes and I couldn’t even crack a smile. Hit the jump to watch the trailer. Written by Peter Gaulke and Gerry Swallow (Ice Age: The Meltdown), the film also features quite a few Broken Lizard regulars »

Watch the First Footage From Jay Chandrasekar’s ‘The Babymakers’

26 December 2011 2:00 PM, PST | Slash Film | See recent Slash Film news »

[1] In a weird way, it seems appropriate that the first footage from Jay Chandrasekar's The Babymakers would leak over the holidays. After all, the season is about family, and this film is ostensibly about starting a family. Of course, this being a film from the guy who directed Beerfest, what it really ends up being about is a lot of semen jokes. Hooray. Olivia Munn and Paul Schneider star as a married couple who want to start a family but are having trouble conceiving. When the husband learns that it's because he is infertile, he enlists his friends and an Indian mob hitman (Chandrasekar) to help him break into a sperm bank and steal back a deposit he made years ago. This seems to be a rough cut of a promotional trailer rather than a finished theatrical trailer, so keep that in mind as you make your judgment. Watch the Nsfw trailer after the jump. »

Who Wants to Donate Sperm to Olivia Munn? The ‘Babymakers’ Redband Trailer is Here!

26 December 2011 4:05 AM, PST | FilmSchoolRejects.com | See recent FilmSchoolRejects news »

If you woke up this morning and felt you needed to see a trailer frothing over with semen jokes, it’s as if the planets have aligned to tell you that you need more therapy and that the redband trailer for Babymakers has poked its little head out onto the internet. This is the Broken Lizard movie that isn’t a Broken Lizard movie. Instead of the gang from Beerfest trying to impregnate everyone, it stars Olivia Munn and Paul Schneider (Away We Go, Lars and the Real Girl) as a couple who have trouble conceiving. Fortunately, Schneider’s character donated a bunch of great sperm years ago. Unfortunately, it’s all gone, so he has to try to steal some of it back. Good old Kevin “Farva” Heffernan is on board as the sidekick, and Jay Chandrasekhar is directing and playing an Indian mafia killer (complete with genuine Indian accent!). As »

Olivia Munn Needs Sperm In Red Band Trailer For Broken Lizard’s ‘The Babymakers’

24 December 2011 11:54 AM, PST | The Film Stage | See recent The Film Stage news »

After their flop The Slammin’ Salmon, the comedy troupe Broken Lizard (behind Super Troopers and Beerfest) are back with a new film. The Babymakers is directed by Jay Chandrasekhar and with a promo red band trailer arriving today, it actually looks like it could be a return to form. The highlight for me is seeing Paul Schneider nab a lead comedy role, after loving him in everything from early David Gordon Green films (George Washington, All the Real Girls) to other dramas (Bright Star, The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, Away We Go) to having success on prime-time TV with Parks and Recreations.

He is joined by TV personality Olivia Munn, which I haven’t been impressed with, but hopefully this and her role in Steven Soderbergh‘s Magic Mike this summer will change by mind. They play a couple who needs some working sperm to have a baby, »

Watch: Promo Trailer for Broken Lizard's 'The Babymakers' with Munn

24 December 2011 11:25 AM, PST | firstshowing.net | See recent FirstShowing.net news »

"I'm shooting good stuff, and I know this." An early promo trailer has leaked online from YouTube for an upcoming film featuring the Broken Lizard troupe called The Babymakers. As much as I've loved their films in past, Broken Lizard seems to have devolved into an unfunny group of straight-to-dvd filmmakers, but I still hope they make a good comedy again. The Babymakers stars Olivia Munn and Paul Schneider as husband and wife trying to have a baby. This is a rough promo trailer that doesn't represent the finished film, but as our first real look at this upcoming comedy starring Munn, I wanted to feature it today anyway. Watch the first promo trailer for Jay Chandrasekhar's The Babymakers, originally via YouTube: Update: Be aware that this is only a very unfinished, rough cut of a promotional/sales trailer. [Interview] Broken Lizard's Paul Soter On His New Horror Film 'Dark Circles'!

24 November 2011 8:53 AM, PST | bloody-disgusting.com | See recent Bloody-Disgusting.com news »

If youve seen any of the Broken Lizard movies then youre certainly familiar with Paul Soter, a key member of the group who not only performs in films like Beerfest, Super Troopers, The Slammin Salmon and their horror-comedy Club Dread but helps shape their material as a writer as well. While Broken Lizard is still alive and well, Soter has now decided to step out on his own every now and then with the express purpose of wading deep into one of his favorite genres - horror. I caught up with Soter a few weeks ago to talk about his transition into a new genre and what real-life events inspired him to write and direct his first full-on horror feature, Dark Circles, starring Pell James (The Lincoln Lawyer, Zodiac) and Jonathan Schaech (The Doom Generation, Prom Night,Quarantine). »

Dark Circles Are Coming From After Dark Originals

14 October 2011 2:29 PM, PDT | DreadCentral.com | See recent Dread Central news »

I adore Club Dread. For my money, it's one of the few slasher films of the 2000s that really 'got' the subgenre and knew exactly how to operate within it. That it also happened to be a hilarious comedy was nothing but a big bonus.

That film's co-writer and star, Paul Soter (he of Broken Lizard), is set to direct Dark Circles, a supernatural flick from After Dark Originals. The film stars Jonathan Schaech (Prom Night remake), Philippe Brenninkmeyer and Andrea Frankle.

When new parents Alex and Penny retreat from the city and move into a place outside town, the stress and massive sleep-deprivation caused by their infant has both of them seeing things in the house that may or may not exist. Persistent sightings of a strange woman have each of them wondering if they are suffering from hallucinations or if their new home holds a dark, supernatural presence. »
