TNT is shifting toward dark and gritty TV shows and they're ending their most-watched drama (Rizzoli & Isles). So, where does that leave Major Crimes? Could this be the final season? We already know it will be the shortest season since 2012. Will Major Crimes be cancelled or renewed for a sixth season? Stay tuned.

Major Crimes follows the further investigations of the detectives in the Los Angeles Police Department's Major Crimes division. The crime drama's cast includes Mary McDonnell, Tony Denison, Gw Bailey, Michael Paul Chan, Raymond Cruz, Robert Gossett, Phillip P. Angie Tribeca's Jere Burns, late of Justified, will guest star on the fifth season of TNT's Major Crimes TV show. According to TV Line, Burns will play Eliot Chase, "...a methodical and tightly wound former engineer who lost everything, including his job, wife and house, and now aims to make a bold statement against those who harmed him." Major Crimes, season five, premieres Monday, June 13, at 10:00pm Et/Pt.

The Major Crimes TV series cast includes: Mary McDonnell, G.W. Bailey, Tony Denison, Michael Paul Chan, Raymond Cruz, Phillip P. Keene, Kearran Giovanni, Jonathan Del Arco, Robert Gossett, and Graham Patrick Martin. Season five of the Major Crimes TV show premieres on TNT, Monday, June 13, 2016 at 10:00pm Et/Pt. Whether it will be cancelled or renewed for a sixth season is not known. When TNT picked up Major Crimes for a (shorter) fifth season of 13 episodes, there were rumors that the crime drama was on its way out.

Mary McDonnell stars as Captain Sharon Raydor. Also starring are G.W. Bailey as Lieutenant Provenza, Tony Denison as Lieutenant Andy Flynn, Michael Paul Chan as Lieutenant Mike Tao, and Raymond Cruz as Detective Julio Sanchez. The Major Crimes TV series cast also includes: Phillip P. Keene, Kearran Giovanni, Jonathan Del Arco, and Graham Patrick Martin.

Major Crimes: TNT Previews Season 4B

TNT has released two previews of season 4B of its Major Crimes TV series, a spin-off of The Closer, which was not cancelled, but ended after its seventh season, in 2012.

The Lapd's Major Crimes division detectives are still adjusting to the fact that Brenda Leigh Johnson (Kyra Sedgwick) has left, and Captain Raydor (Mary McDonnell) is in charge. The Major Crimes cast also includes G.W. Bailey, Tony Denison, Michael Paul Chan, Raymond Cruz, Phillip P. Keene, and Kearran Giovanni.

Everything is set for the return of an all-star cast with the release of the third installment of the action-comedy film ‘From Vegas to Macau III’ next week. Fans will once again see Chow Yun-fat, Nick Cheung, Carina Lau, and other Hong Kong superstars reunited on the big screen with the return of the hit movie.

‘From Vegas to Macau’ will not only reunite the brightest stars from Hong Kong, but also long-time film collaborators Andrew Lau and Wong Jing who have acted either as producers, directors, or writers for the three movie installments. “That Guy” Actor of the Week: Michael Paul Chan

He’s got a face and has played characters you’ve always known but you can never place his name.  This week’s “That Guy” actor of the week is Michael Paul Chan.  You might recognize Chan from The Closer on TNT.  And most recently he appeared on the show Major Crimes from 2012-2015.  But where do I see Chan in my memories?  I’ll never forget him as Data’s dad in Goonies and when he uttered the line “Unbeatable!” in the movie Maverick. That line still remains one of my favorite all time obscure lines in any movie. He was also Mr. Chong
