Cinemax is currently developing a TV adaptation of “Scarlet,” based on Brian Michael Bendis and Alex Maleev’s comic of the same name, published under Marvel’s Icon imprint. According to Deadline, Bendis announced, albeit coyly, at the Atx Television Festival in Austin that the property was being developed by HBO, but Variety has confirmed that it will be developed for Cinemax, which is owned by the premium cable network. The comic follows a rebellious protagonist named Scarlet Rue who ends up sparking a new American revolution. Bendis also co-created “Jessica Jones” and “Powers,” both of which have been adapted for TV. Development for “Scarlet” is in the early stages.
Rob Doherty, creator, executive producer and showrunner of CBS’ “Elementary,” has signed a new three-year deal with CBS Television Studios. He will continue as showrunner on “Elementary,” which is heading into its fifth season, and will supervise new projects for CBS TV. The news was first reported by Deadline.

Grey's Anatomy wrapped season 12 in May on ABC. Fans of the series have been waiting for news about season 13 of the series since the credits on the season finale rolled. Now, it has been reported by Entertainment Weekly that Ellen Pompeo has signed her new contract.
She is locked in for season 13, but it is not known if she is a lock beyond that. Previous contracts have been for two year deals, but the length of this new contract was not revealed.
