Once Upon a Time Lands Dwarf Loving Amy Acker
There looks to be some fairy tale loving for a certain grumpy dwarf in an upcoming episode of Once Upon a Time, which will feature Angel and Dollhouse’s Amy Acker. The frequent Joss Whedon collaborator will guest star as a romantic interest for Lee Arenberg’s Leroy, who also happens to be the real-world counterpart for Grumpy, famously of the Seven Dwarves. Now, I’m not a stick in the mud for accuracy to the original fairy tales (and let’s face it, Disney heavily altered them anyway), but I don’t recall Grumpy having a sweetheart.
The way TVLine tells it Acker’s character will appear in both the fairy tale world and Storybrooke, but may only interact with one of Arenberg’s characters. More importantly, we have no idea who she might be playing. I’m all for a dwarf finding love, »

Once Upon a Time has dipped into the Whedonverse yet again to fill a guest-starring role.
Amy Acker, who had roles on both Joss Whedon’s Angel and Dollhouse, will visit ABC’s fantastical freshman drama as a romantic interest for both Grumpy (of the Seven Dwarves) and his surly Storybrooke counterpart, Leroy, in a late winter episode that delves into the grouch’s backstory.

Porn! Yeah, that got your attention. Look, Prime Suspect is on the verge of cancellation and if screaming “porn” from the rooftops gets a few more eyeballs, I will gladly scream porn from the rooftops. Also, this case actually involved porn. Porn, strippers and Buffy alum Emma Caulfield were all on the menu for this week’s rich, layered, emotional episode. Hey, I’ll say “porn” every third word if it means they won’t cancel this show – Ok?
Did I mention Emma Caulfield (a.k.a. the Artist Former Known as Anya) plays a porn star? And Det. Jane Timoney goes to a strip club? Granted, neither profession comes out looking particularly glamorous, or even that sexy. Which, if you really think about it, is probably as it should be.

Since there were so many television centric questions in last week's "Ask Nathaniel" insert, I figured we'd have to give them their own Q&A post. We'll get to the movie questions on Tuesday. But for now let's handle all these questions involving smaller screens than we usually go for.
Bensunce: Like George Clooney, which current television actors would you see having a successful career on the big screen?
Expecting anyone to have Clooney-sized silver screen success after switching from the small screen is, well, a recipe for disappointment if not disaster. He's a 1%er. Most of the people I enjoy on TV now already had their movie shot and have gone small screen for better / bigger roles than they were getting at the movies. But the current small screen actors I think absolutely deserve and would ace major big screen opportunities are Christina Hendricks and Jon Hamm (Mad Men »

You’ve seen him play a weary dad whose daughter is dating a vampire in the Twilight movies and a rock-a-billy satanist in Drive Angry 3D. Come January you’ll get to see Billy Burke as a carpet cleaner on the verge of insanity in Removal, co-starring Elliot Gould, Emma Caulfield, and Kelly Brook.
After witnessing a friend’s gruesome suicide, things haven't been the same for Cole. He is being tormented by what appear to be hallucinations. After working several double shifts, Cole thought things couldn’t get any worse – until he’s called out to an all-night carpet cleaning job for a man named Henry, who leads him to believe he has just killed his wife. As he hurries to clean the place, Cole’s hallucinations start to interfere, and the horrid truth that unfolds will leave you begging for it to stop!
Emma Caulfield has launched a new webcomic titled Ripped. The former Buffy the Vampire Slayer actress is collaborating with Camilla Ransten, Christian Messey and Thomas Mauer on the project, which re-examines the mystery of Jack the Ripper. "Camilla and I wanted to tell the story of Ripper with fresh eyes and propose theories that hadn't been talked about before. We are also surrounded by friends who have varying degrees of psychic abilities and how and why they can do what they do is endlessly fascinating," Caulfield told Newsarama. "To (more) »

Each week within this column we strive to pair the latest in theatrical releases to worthwhile titles currently available on Netflix Instant Watch. This week we offer alternatives to Puss in Boots, The Rum Diary and In Time.
This Friday a pop star-turned-action star battles time and its wealthy rulers, while a costumed cat seeks a sky-high dream and a drunken Lothario goes abroad for romance and rum. But if these flicks cannot quench your thirst for fractured fairy tales, sci-fi thrills and angst-ridden anti-heroes, we’ve got you covered with a tantalizing selection of choice movies available online.
Before he was swashbuckling alongside Shrek, this ferocious feline (Antonio Banderas) was crossing swords with the cat burglar Kitty Softpaws (Salma Hayek), stealing magic beans from the gruff outlaws Jack & Jill (Billy Bob Thorton & Amy Sedaris) and teaming up with the crafty criminal mind Humpty Dumpty (Zach Galifianakis). We're planning to check it out based on the cast alone, but we know some of you need a little more convincing. How about watching the first nine minutes of the episode to help you make up your mind?
"Once Upon a Time", from the inventive minds of "Lost" executive producers Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis, is a bold new imagining of the world, where fairy tales and the modern-day are about to collide.
And they all lived happily ever after – or so everyone was led to believe. Emma Swan knows how to take care of herself. She's a 28-year-old bail bonds collector who's been on her own ever since she was abandoned as a baby. But when the son she gave up years ago finds her, »

ABC wraps up its roll-out of new fall shows this Sunday at 8/7c with the premiere of Once Upon a Time, a fun and fantastical drama that raises the question: What if fairy tale characters were banished to a real-world existence, with no idea of their true identities? And what if a pretty bail bondsperson from Boston held the secret to giving them back their “happy endings”?
If you find that a lot to swallow, know that you are in good, skeptical company. In this exclusive clip from the show’s debut, a young lad named Henry (Mad Men‘s »

Hollywood's starlets can breathe a sigh of relief, because the FBI has finally made an arrest in what they've coined Operation Hackerazzi (kudos to the agent who invented that clever moniker)— the cell phone hacking ring that has plagued young female stars by releasing their personal and, ahem, intimate photos, texts and emails to the world.
Though the FBI has yet to release a name—or any information aside from the fact that an arrest has been made—this is a major step forward in the case, which floundered for more than a year, E Online reports.
Scarlett Johansson became the latest celebrity victim just a few short weeks ago, adding her name to a list that already included Vanessa Hudgens, Christina Aguilera, Demi Lovato, Miley Cyrus, Jessica Alba, Selena Gomez, Ali Larter, Busy Philipps, Emma Caulfield, Renee Olstead and Addison Timlin.
In other words, it was a long list. »

The FBI has arrested one person suspected of hacking into the phones of Hollywood stars like Scarlett Johansson and Vanessa Hudgens ... and leaking private photos. And, we've learned, the FBI is convinced the guy is a lone wolf, who never got a cent for the pictures he stole ... he just did it for the thrill. Law enforcement sources tell us the man is from Florida, and the FBI has known about him for several months, »

Once Upon A Time with Emma Caulfield
It hasn’t even premiered yet, but ABC’s Once Upon a Time is already filled to the rim with guest stars and has added yet another; Emma Caulfield. Her casting is special in that she’s worked with some of the crew in the past. Before this, Caulfield worked with consulting producer Liz Tigelaar on Life Unexpected and with co-executive producer of Jane Espenson on Buffy. Given the supernatural nature of Once Upon a Time, Caulfield should feel right at home.
The news broke over Caulfield’s Twitter on Monday that she would be flying to Vancouver to shoot her episode. She will be playing the role of the Blind Witch from the Hanzel and Gretel story. We’ll have to wait several weeks before we get to see her in action; her episode will be the ninth aired. The series doesn’t premiere until October 23rd, »
